I wanted to stay in the centre of Newquay, but not somewhere expensive, or in one of the cheap surf hotels. The Griffin Inn seemed the most suitable, but it was difficult getting a measure of the reviews on TripAdvisor, as too many reviewers were simply commenting on meals, rather than the accommodation. The stairs and corridors at the inn... More

I had pork belly most of the week and my partner tried different dishes. Food was piping hot , full of... More

The most fabulous Sunday Carvery. Excellent food and about the only place in Newquay that serve a roast in the evening on a Sunday. Quite a basic pub but clean and polite friendly staff. Definitely worth a try ☺

Our friends live in Newquay and we came down for a visit. They suggested we go to The Griffin for a cavery. Wow! It was the best carvery we have ever had. The staff were so friendly and we're so welcoming and made time to talk to our 16 mth old son. The food was amazing, so tasty. I highly... More
