I rang on off chance I could book two separate double rooms as my parents came over to pick us up. Myself and my husband have stayed at The Griffin before and loved it. My parents had been travelling over 6 hours and booked to have a Carvery of which they both said was fantastic!! Both our rooms were lovely... More

We went to this pub for lunch. We ordered sandwiches to eat, I had the bacon, brie and cranberry but all I could taste was thick butter and nothing else. The staff were polite and friendly. Not sure whether we would visit again.

Travelled from huddersfield, first time in Newquay, having not visited before. Did not really know what 2 expect. We stayed 7 nights at the griffin. Bedrooms a little dated, however very comfortable and clean. Food is out of this world, especially the breakfast! The service was superb, Tina especially made us so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. She wasn't... More

Found this gem by accident and what a find! Comfortable, clean and friendly establishment but so much more! Large bedrooms are well fitted out, en-suite of course and very well serviced on a daily basis. Downstairs is an excellently stocked bar including 2 Real Ale pumps. The biggest surprise is the restaurant! Local and very fresh produce is used to... More

We are locals and eat regularly at the Griffin - usually mid week. We decided to eat last Friday evening which was extremely busy. Even so the food was still excellent quality. A stag night, a hen night, a 60th birthday party and a wake were going on - and I have to say well done to Tina for keeping... More
