We stopped at the Surfside in September and were very impressed. For £25 per person per night you dont expect the Ritz, but you do expect the basics which you certainly get. It's clean, it's comfortable, the facilities are fine, a friendly welcome and a good breakfast.
Location is very good too, only 3-4 minutes walk from the town, just beware the short but very steep hill there and back!
Our room had a sea view too which was a lovely bonus.
The breakfast area is very homely and spacious too and you can sit and watch the world go by as you're tucking in. The car park only holds probably 3 vehicles but it is a free facility nonetheless, and i think street parking is free too.
If and when i go back to Newquay i'll be booking here. Highly recommended
