We spent a lovely week at the Alex guest house. The accomodation was ideal, our family room was spacious with a sea view, very clean, well maintained, the beds were comfy, although the shower lacked power! The guesthouse is a stone's throw from porth beach, ideal for kids and family's, the walk into Newquay is about 1 mile, buses run... more

This is the second time we have stayed at the Alex. There is no denying that the location is lovely, but the rooms are now looking shabby and very very 1980's in terms of the furnishings and decor. The double room my husband and I have occupied both times has the shower situated in the room itself which makes it... more

are stay at the alex guest house is and always has been very enjoyable and very relaxing, nothing is to much trouble for the two wonderfull people that run it,they really do make it seem so effortless,when i wouldnt want to there job for all the tea in china,any little thing you need they have it,you can come and go... more

Spotted this nicely situated small Guest House on the main road but overlooking the beach at Porth in Newquay. Nicely situated because a good 10 minute walk to noisy Newquay so in a nice quiet place.
