We stayed 5 nights and when we arrived was asked to pay full amount , £80 a night for a double en suite.A bit strange we thought , you normally pay on check out !!? Room was spotless but very basic , there was a toilet and shower in what I thought was a wardrobe , and a sink in... More

The first thing to say is the view blows your head off- right on the cliff overlooking a wide bay below. Super friendly staff, clean and small room but everything works well and feels cosy. Staff made a point of showing us maps and where things nearby are. We're a couple here to surf and they rent boards and suits... More

We were a family of 5, had a great little attic room overlooking Fistral Beach. The lady in charge was really helpful, and my 3 boys had a brilliant surf lesson organised by the hotel and led by Surfer Dave.

We (3) stayed here for 5 nights and had no complaints, the room was small, a little dated but clean and certainly adequate as we were not in the room for long periods other than to sleep. The view over Fistral beach was amazing. As we were on the top floor we didn't get disturbed by any other guests. The... More

On the website this hotel looks funky and fresh but I don't think it is either of them! On arrival the owner showed us to our room gave us no information about the local area, when we had to check out by or anything of any use the only thing she said was if we wanted breakfast we have to... More

I booked the surfside hotel as part of a birthday gift week away for my sister and I. We booked outside of the town centre as my sister is under 18 and we heard the towns can get pretty crazy with stag and hen doo's at night. We definitely made the right decision, fistral beach is beautiful.. It's like being... More

This is a great little place with a really cool owner and amazing views of the beach (in sea view rooms!). We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The bar stayed open just for us in the evening and the kids really enjoyed table tennis etc.. This is a simple hotel, but really cool.

Upon arriving to Surfside hotel, we were slightly apprehensive as we had read some pretty negative reviews on TripAdvisor. Arrival included a free parking space on site right in front of the hotel and a warm welcome by the hotel owner (sadly we didn't catch her name). We booked the twin room for 4 nights on booking.com which worked out... More

The best feeling I had from my stay in Newquay was knowing that I wouldn't be spending another night in the awful bed. The room was so tiny. Felt as if I was sleeping in a cupboard. A couple were in the room next door to me and I could hear every movement and conversation. The walls were so thin... More
