On our arrival, together with my boyfriend, we were "welcomed" by a woman - presumably owner of the hotel (she didn't bother to introduce) surprised to see two male having booked double-bed room...."I expected a couple" was her comment. My husband booked a weekend away as a treat for my birthday. Upon arrival the old and shabby exterior of the building didn’t fill me with much hope, but I attempted to remain open-minded. I recently stayed at St George's with my family (including 8 mth old baby) and thought it was great. The hotel was lovely and in a good location and the service and friendliness of staff was excellent.
