Clean and tidy hotel, we had a family room over looking Fistral Beach which was great watching the surfers. Helpful and friendly staff, food was lovely. Only downside was hearing the person up above us moving around not great when you are on holiday and being woken up at 6.00 am. Overall we had a great time and would recommend... More

Very friendly staff, nice swimming pool, rooms a good size. Could do with modernisation but very clean and comfortable. Beds comfy and not too much noise from other rooms. Food in restaurant good value and good quality. Overall a lovely stay.

Nothing much wrong with it, just didn’t suit us. Catered more for the older generation. Like being on the film set of Cocoon. Friendly staff, always willing to help with recommendations and booking taxi’s etc. Clean and tidy. Stored our luggage and bikes for us. Good location for Fistral beach, but about 20+minutes walk in to Newquay town centre. Breakfast... More

On behalf of our surfers, families, couples and groups of guests who regularly stay with us, we disagree with your ageist comments. As you say yourself, our breakfasts are really good, our team is friendly and helpful and we are in a great location for access to Fistral beach. Families with children really enjoy the kids play area and we... More

Noisy basic double room overlooking a flat roof littered with rubbish, tiny bathroom right by the bed, thin bed pillows, cold poor quality breakfast served with dirty cutlery. Free Wi Fi and decent TV is all that's positive I'm afraid

We are sorry and apologise that you were unhappy with aspects of your stay. Please be assured that we would have happily rectified any issues had you raised any. During peak-season, sea-view rooms are popular and tend to be booked first. We receive much praise about our coastal position, our tasty food, lovely indoor heated pool & sauna and impeccable... This is a nice 3 star hotel, one of the main plus points being the friendly and welcoming staff. Everyone we encountered seemed happy and eager to please, that really does make a big difference to the overall experience! We had a family room, not ocean facing but still not a bad view over the estuary. Our room was clean... More

Stayed here a year and a half ago and although I didn't agree with some of the negative reviews then (if you think you deserve 5 star facilities/treatment then you need to pay considerably more than this) there have been considerable improvements as reflected in recent TA reviews. The rooms have been upgraded and the staff are naturally friendly and... More

Thank you for your kind comments and feedback which we will share with all of our team. Delighted that you like the investments and improvements that we have been making throughout the hotel. We have immediately identified and adjusted the noisy fire-door so it no longer slams and hope to welcome you back again soon. More

Very Clean, good food and well priced. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff. All the family were Made to feel thoroughly welcome by all, even my young granddaughter felt like a princess there. Have already rebooked a return visit.

Just got back from a 7 night stay at the Pentire. What a friendly hotel - without exception the staff made you feel at home straight away. We stayed on half board terms - substantial an tasty breakfast and good choice on 3 course dinner, which was always served quickly and hot. Would agree with WarwickdhireLisa on the rooms and... More

Not much good to say about this hotel. - Clean sheets ( Albeit they still had the maids identification label on the double sheet - two sticky red dots and the name) - Clean Towels - Very helpful reception staff. - Oh and a couple of nice pictures above the bed. That's where the good ends unfortunately. - Mould in... More

We apologise that we have failed to impress you as much as we have our other guests – something that is most unusual for us. We are receiving a large volume of genuinely positive feedback from our guests, and have completed refurbishment of the majority of guest rooms and other public areas of the hotel. More
