We had dinner here (did not stay in hotel). You need to make a reservation in tourist season as the seating capacity seems restricted by the kitchen size, rather than the restaurant, which is quite large. Food was very good - we had oysters, fish stew, hake, scallops, all cooked well and flavourful. Service is casual and reasonably efficient. Good... More

We booked for a meal (did not stay in the accommodation). The menu was varied, thus ensuring our whole party was catered for. The food was delicious. I can thoroughly recommended the desserts, delicious..! We will definitely be returning.

The bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries and lovely fluffy towels and robes. Tea and coffee making facilities consist of real tea and a coffee percolator you have to ask in the... More

We were booked into this place overnight at the end of our second night walking part oft he SWCP. We received a very warm welcome - our room was spacious, immaculate and very well presented, with a great view. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant as we were already booked elsewhere, but the breakfast was excellent and based... More

Mousehole is a charming town and the Old Coastguard added immeasurably to our stay. Staff are friendly; the service excellent, and our room was comfortable and had a fabulous sea view. The breakfast was to die for!!! I'd love to go back and stay longer.

We had heard very good reviews regarding the The Old Coastguard so with a visit to Mousehole planned we had an opportunity to have lunch and it was truly a great experience. The location is beautifully situated and the food lives up to the reviews; uncomplicated but sublime and as mentioned by other reviewers the staff are just so pleasant... More
