A funky old place with lots of charm. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed the views, sitting outside and everything about the place. The staff was well trained and did all they could to make our 3-day stay memorable. The hotel is just on the edge of the village, with lots of interesting shops and places to... More

Just stayed for my second time at this wonderful bolt - hole on a 2 night DB&B basis. Beautiful room overlooking the bay and St Michael's Mount. Bed was supremely comfortable and I slept very well. My meals were excellent, well cooked and beautifully presented with excellent service. This is just the most relaxing hotel where you can totally switch... More

Our lunch cost £84. I had to send the kids fish back, because it was pink raw. It had skin on and in my opinion was not a kids meal. Kids dont like to think about where their food came from and are certainly less likely to have a pallette for raw fish. We eat here regularly but this is... More

We have stayed here twice this year, once for 2 nights the second time just for one. Both times we have had rooms with spectacular views over to St. Michael's Mount. Both times we took the Dinner, B&B package option which with the excellent food and exceptionally pleasant atmosphere in the bar/dining room was terrific value. The staff are charming... More

This was our first visit to the Old Coastguard for lunch even though we've lived here for the past 11 years. We've never really felt the need to visit in the past as there was a list of other places we wished to visit first. Menu choice was good and the ordering of our food was swift. Kids menu was... More

We had dinner here (did not stay in hotel). You need to make a reservation in tourist season as the seating capacity seems restricted by the kitchen size, rather than the restaurant, which is quite large. Food was very good - we had oysters, fish stew, hake, scallops, all cooked well and flavourful. Service is casual and reasonably efficient. Good... More

We booked for a meal (did not stay in the accommodation). The menu was varied, thus ensuring our whole party was catered for. The food was delicious. I can thoroughly recommended the desserts, delicious..! We will definitely be returning.

I stayed here with my husband at the beginning of June for two nights. We had a lovely room with a small sitting room attached and balcony. The bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries and lovely fluffy towels and robes. Tea and coffee making facilities consist of real tea and a coffee percolator you have to ask in the... More
