Just spent a very pleasant stay at The Old Coastguard Hotel with a nice Sea view room. The staff were very helpful and the food excellent. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Mousehole.
A delightfully pretty setting with tropical gardens down to the sea. We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to 2 light and airy rooms one with a balcony and the other a terrace. Both had stunning views across the bay to St.Michael's Mount and the one on the higher level also had views of Mousehole harbour. Both...

very comfortable room - no need to get out of bed for a great view over the sea to the nearby rocks!!
All the food we had there was unfaultable - from lunch when we arrived (beetroot risotto, scallops) to the set dinner arranged for the party we joined, to the huge breakfasts - only comment here is that a...

This was my first holiday in Cornwall and first with our new 6 mth old puppy. I was thinking the hotel may be a bit tired and damp doggy smelling, but I couldn't have been more wrong. the hotel setting/position was just perfect. There is a wonderful decking area to have drinks, coffee etc and a path through the garden leads down...

We stayed at The Old Coastguard Hotel at the end of March 2012 while en route to the Isles of Scilly. From arrival to departure the experience could not have been better.
There are lots of lovely touches like having proper coffee in the bedrooms, giving fresh milk to make bedroom drinks and giving a free tea or coffee in...

The Old Coastguard Hotel has fairly recently been taken over, by owners of The Guernards Hotel, West Cornwall. New face lift, which gives it a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Staff and service, excellent. Families are wellcome. They have loads of playthings for kids, to keep them happy, whilst parents imbibe! Fantastic view from the well maintained garden, overlooking the sea, with...

Stayed in the hotel with friends in early March and enjoyed dinner on the Saturday evening. Great food and of course stunning views. having enjoyed the hospitality at The Gurnards Head was delighted to experience equally good service here. In fact on arrival all our rooms had been upgraded as they were not fully booked. The service is extremely professional...

It is clear from all the reviews that improvement is neccessary for this potentially fantastic place. We have eaten on and off here for the past two years and watched the changes with hope.
The views and position are to die for, but the place has changed hands so many times and everyone meddling to try to improve it, but...

I can't rate the Old Coastguard highly enough. We've literally just got back from an overnight stay with dinner, bed and breakfast and had an amazing time.
We were greeted with the news that we had been upgraded as it was our anniversary and "the room with the bath that has sea views" was available - we were not disappointed!...

My boyfriend and I ate here last weekend after the hotel we were staying in recommended it to us. Before we went I had a quick look at some of the trip advisor reviews, and was seriously wondering if we had made a mistake. Thankfully there was absolutely no need to worry. The ambience was lovely, service polite and efficient,...
