I will start on a positive note and say that the room, although small, was clean and the bed comfortable and the location is good. When we arrived there was a person already at reception talking to the receptionist. He turned to us and said "won't keep you a minute" and we assumed from his attire of shorts/t.shirt he was... Perfect location for this hotel. As soon as i entered reception i was greeted by the receptionist and max(the parrot) and it was fantastic to find out that we had been upgraded to a sea-front room free of charge. Cant complain about that service. The hotel was dated but had a friendly warm feel to it making it very homely... More

It was like going back to the 70s and that was probably the last time the fish tank was cleaned. We had a groupon coupon given to us as a present and as they are all banished to the top floor and we wouldn't have a river view we up graded at a cost of £6 and had to pay... More

Fortunately our stay was for only one night. The reception is dreadful with a fish tank that could not have been cleaned in years. The room was clean but very small and the double bed was tiny and very bouncy. There was little water pressure in the bathroom. The room was very noisy both from the karaoke bar downstairs and... This hotel had a really good location looking right over the harbour. Our room was a double with views of the harbour, we had upgraded to get a balcony room which was worth it as we were able to sit and watch the boats come in and out. The room itself was decoration was a little out of date but... More

Must be the best location in this lovely little Cornish town. Right on the waterfront, the main rooms and Dining Room have enormous windows overlooking the fishing harbour and up and down the estuary. Our room was up at the top (third floor) near the lift. From here we could see the sea as well as the harbour. A cosy... More

For a one or two night stay this would be acceptable at a real push. Had a superior room but I would shudder to think what the rest of them were like if this was a SUPERIOR. Toilet and shower could barely accomodate an average sized male while wash-hand basin was on the outside of the en-suite!!!. Breakfast comprised of... More

I really don't know where to begin but here goes and lets start on a positive note .... the location is great and the receptionist was very helpful (and I'm not talking about Max the parrot!). The room we had was reasonably clean. The motion sensor lights in the corridors only lit up 10 seconds after you had passed them... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay with Leisuretime Tours and what a letdown. The only thing in this hotels favour is the location. Our room was OK but the dining experience was horrendous. Only 2 choices on the mains course, always meat and usually a roast dinner. On our last evening we did not even know what was on... More

One of the best locations in Looe, a long history of satisfying British tourists, (I've been coming here on and off since 1973) what could possibly go wrong? It might be an increasing trend in UK hotels to ask you to pay for your whole stay on the night you arrive but for me, it smacks of desperation on behalf... More
