In spite of on-going refurbishment, the Portbyhan Hotel provided high standards of service, food and accommodation during our recent stay. Ideally located, this most friendly, relaxed and welcoming of hotels is also highly regarded by locals for its catering, and deserves every success. Peter & Barbara Morgan Jones

This is the second time we have visited Portbyhan, and had a lovely welcome from Ann and the staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the food is excellent and good choices. This was a tinsel and turkey few days and was very well done, with the staff joining in the festivities. Can't wait to go back and see... More

Good afternoon and thank you for your generous review. The refurbishment is going very well thus far - just as the staff love to join the Christmas festivities so do they love to be a part of the project too even though possibly more paint on themselves than on the wall, it is testimony to their commitment and passion for... We had a very nice stay in December. The hotel is updated, clean and very friendly. Smaller rooms but that is to be expected. Very nice staff and breakfast was excellent with dining room right on harbor. We were very satisfied with our stay.

Good morning and thank you for your review, Looe was certainly honoured by the visit of the famous Coca Cola lorry - there was a great party atmosphere in the town that day, judging by the volume of numbers there, it was a good idea to get the early start!
