This is our fourth visit to The Old Malt House and once again our expectations were surpassed. Carolyn and Paul are the perfect hosts with a warm welcome and hospitality that is as equally warm. The Old Malt House is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful countryside of Cornwall, thank you very much for making our stay... More

Stayed at this B&B in April. Good welcome. Bed right by the door a bit off putting as the door was only approx 3 and half feet away from the room opposite and next to the front door. Biggest gripe that breakfast only served for half an hour from 830 until 9.00. Not long enough, an hour would have been... More

We take great pride in the quality of the breakfast we offer to all our guests at The Old Malt House. Breakfast is not restricted to one half hour and we offer flexibility in regards to when guest would like to have their breakfast. Normally breakfast is served from 8.30am onwards because this seems to be the best time for... More

Me and my partner stayed in the Old Malt house for a three night stay in January. I cannot express enough how friendly and welcoming Paul and Carolyn were for our visit. Always on hand to help with a smile and great conversation. The room was very clean, and the first thing I noticed was how cosy and modern it... More

You have to realistic about staying in this age of building and in a small 'quaint' village. the rooms were small (of course) it is NOT a modern vast hotel after all! It is a very well run friendly home style B & B. Breakfeast was fantastic using great local produce. We were welcomed warm and well looked after. The... More

Bit late in reviewing our stay but I think it deserves to be said! The location isn't that great having to park up a very steep hill which is quite a way from the Old Moat House, this wasn't too much of a problem although it is a steep hill. We stopped in room 1 if memory serves me well,... More

We are completely shocked and bewildered by the comments on this review and only wished this guest... More

We stayed for one night in October, for a flying visit combining business and pleasure. Paul and Carolyn were lovely hosts; very welcoming. Our vegetarian breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead! Although the room was small, it was spotlessly clean and comfortable; perfectly adequate for the time we had. Our only criticism is the lack... More

Thank you for your positive comments. We do provide parking free of charge for all our guests, some of which is on-site at the rear of the house and our other spaces are situated just up from the house on west looe hill. All our parking spaces are suitable for small and large vehicles including small vans, unfortunately this guest... More

Had a great weekend in Looe despite a terrible journey coming down from the Midlands. Thankfully Paul and Carolyn made our stay at the Old Malthouse a very pleasant experience. As mentioned in previous comments the breakfast was excellent and cooked to your liking. Room was small but to be expected in an old historical house. Over breakfast ask Paul... More

Have just got home from a weeks holiday here, and all I can say is 'fantastic'! Paul and Carolyn made us feel so very welcome and were very patient with us as my husband has limited mobility. We had a truly lovely stay and I would heartily recommend this to anyone. We will be going back there!!
