Me and my husband have just got back from an absolutely wonderful relaxing 4 night break from Looe. We stayed at Pendower and can't thank and praise Karen enough. We stayed in Room 4 which has such a stunning view over East Looe bay, banjo pier and the town aswell as up the estuary all from its balcony. Karen is just fantastic. Such a friendly warm woman, who has made our stay even better. Her breakfasts are delicious and the choice of her full English is plentiful. Whatever you want to change and swap on the breakfast menu, Karen will do as long as you leave her guest house every morning full and set up for a full day of exploring Cornwall. She will give you any info and advice on the places to visit in and around Looe and Cornwall. Her Guest house is clean, tidy, warm and welcoming. Looe itself is a nice place but be warned......for dinner you need to be in the town early. It's a hilly place. If we go back to Looe, we would most certainly want to stay at Pendower. Thank you Karen xx…

Karen was fantastic and unlike most places that give you a designated check-in time, she had our room ready for us on arrival at 9.30 and welcomed us with an offering of tea or coffee. We stayed in Room 4 which I would highly recommend- the views were Beautiful and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony with a cuppa and take In the lovely views and sea air. The room was tidy, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely each morning and was served at a time that suited you- which is another nice touch. I would struggle to find a bad thing to say about this place! The only slight downfall and this isn't Karen's fault is on a night, the small path going towards the property isn't very well lit- pitch dark in places and very quiet. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone!…

Karen who owns Pendower Guest House made us feel like old friends. The tea and coffee on arrival was very welcome. The view from room 4 was wonderful. I was unwell 1 day of our stay but Nothing was to much trouble for Karen. Even providing some pain killers for me. All in all a fantastic stay.

A warm welcome from Karen and a fantastic breakfast each morning made this a very special place to stay. We were lucky enough to be in room 4 which has amazing scenic views across the bay enabling us to sit on the little balcony with a relaxing glass of wine in the evening, enjoying the action on the river and beach. Amazing sunrises can be viewed right from the comfy bed whilst sipping your morning cuppa. Karen was a fount of local knowledge and kindly booked us into a local restaurant where we dined on the delicious catch of the day. The shower was hot and powerful, fresh clean towels were provided each day and our bed made up. A very clean and comfortable guesthouse with a superb breakfast menu on offer, thank you Karen for a most enjoyable stay at Pendower.

This was our second visit in a year to Pendower Guest House. We came back because of the incredible views from the lovely room (4) and because of Karen's welcoming smile and cheeky sense of humour. She is the perfect person to own and run a Guest House - just the right balance making sure you feel so relaxed and welcome. Room 4 is definitely the best. It is large and airy with a large bathroom (shower, toilet, sink). The room has a double bed, tea/coffee facilities, wardrobe, TV and a sofa (might be a sofa bed but I'm not sure). There are large french windows that lead onto the balcony. The curtains are thick therefore keep out the light in the morning meaning you can have a lie-in if you want.

Comfortable, welcoming guest house. Room 4 has a balcony overlooking East looe, magical views.Nothing is too much trouble for Karen the owner. Friendly, welcoming, cooks great breakfasts, Pendower house wouldn't be the same without her. Thank you again Karen for a wonderful 3 night stay, you are a star!

Had a lovely four days at Pendower Guest House. Cannot say anything negative about our stay. Karen was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for her. Veggie breakfast very good and plentiful. The bedroom was quite spacious and very clean. It makes a change to have enough coat hangers to hang up your clothes. Plenty of hot water for a long shower. The situation of the guest house is very convenient only a short walk into the town. Fabulous views over the beach from the house. If in Looe again wouldn't hesitate to go back to Pendower, thank you very much Karen for a lovely stay.

Once again we have just returned from a super trip to Looe. This is about our ninth visit and each time we have stayed at the lovely Pendower House which has stunning views of the busy bay and beautiful river. Pendower House has all the amenities you could hope for. The rooms are all clean and comfortable (we have tried them all). But it's not the views or the rooms that we return for each time. It's for the for the feel of the house. It's such a warm and inviting place where you feel entirely comfortable from the minute you step through the door. This is due to its wonderful owner Karen. She makes everyone feel welcome and is truly a most hospitable host indeed. We must also add that Karen's breakfast are tasty and bountiful. They really are something to look forward to when you wake up in the morning. Reviewing is not really our thing but Karen and her lovely house are definitely worth it!…

Three of us attended a wedding at the nearby Hannafore Point Hotel, which was expensive, so we stayed three nights at Pendower Guest House. Great welcome, great traditional breakfast, fabulous views from the balcony of room 4 and the window of room 2 due to the house's elevated position. Good sized bathrooms, plenty of extras, everything clean and tidy. The sound of the waves on the beach 24/7 didn't disturb me. However, the squawking gulls (evenings and mornings) and the early morning powered boats did cause me to lose sleep. Not the fault of the guest house owner, but if you like peace and quiet in the early mornings you might be better off inland. On a personal note, we are used to a king size bed with memory foam at home, so the double bed did seem small and rather too firm for my liking. Overall, a very pleasant stay.…

Access to Pendower House can be offputting - there is a private carpark 200 metres along the road where you can unload luggage and passengers, but then the driver must go further along the road in search of free, on-street parking. Karen was a very friendly, welcoming host, and helped carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs to our room. The room itself was adequate, with a nice ensuite, but the views were million dollar! Views of the sea, river, coast, and Looe.
