Stayed for 2 nights at the fieldhead hotel. Excellent location approx..10 minute walk to the harbour down hill bit of a climb back but take a slow pace and your be fine...halfway down the hill there are some steps which take you right along the harbour side which is a nice walk, however when its high tide you can only... We had a few days booked at the feild head hotel and was given room 16 on the bottom floor , we did not enjoy this room it was dark dingy and we thought damp given the markings on the wall! The pictures on trip advisor show rooms that look much nicer than this room it's all very dated and... More

Dear michael L Bentham, United Kingdom “There is better for less!” Thank you for giving your opinion of your stay at The Fieldhead Hotel in Looe (as opposed to Lichfield) A small observation: Our guests are never, ever, ever “given” a room. When you phone to make your booking, the room is always discussed. If you booked by some remote... More

We returned here having stayed on two previous occasions some years ago, and were pleasantly surprised at some of the improvements that have been made, especially the addition of balconies to all the bedrooms along the front of the hotel, free WiFi, and the provision of lovely bathrobes and slippers. The staff were friendly, the breakfast selection was excellent and... More

Dear Footlooseatlast London “Pleasant hotel with lovely sea views” Thank you for coming back to The Fieldhead – our most valued guests are those who return and whose comments are most valued. You have made many observations which have all been taken on board. Portions sizes: We prefer to be generous and guests leave anything that is too much rather... More

Dear roadrunner080 Birmingham, United Kingdom “Not what we expected” I recognise your heading from your other keyboard warrior Review. Stayed 4 days and said nothing. God helps those who help themselves. I appreciate I am unique with my gift of hindsight, but I do not have that same ability when it comes to putting right things in the past (which... More

We stayed in this hotel in late July. We had two nights and wished we had stayed longer. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was wonderful and lived up to our expectations. It was busy but staff were calm. The pool was warm and the views to the sea were great. The... More

Quirky hotel with comfortable bed and an interesting bathroom with generous supply of neutrogena products. A plus is the quiet residential area overlooking the sea. Not all rooms have views. We did see a seaview room that had a nice outdoor patio but it was not usable because of all those Cornish seagulls; there were gull droppings everywhere. Everything here... More

Dear bravo-cinzia Farmington, Connecticut “Quirky but fine” Well, at least everything was fine. Thank you and thank you for your review. I just feel, from your review that everything was not fine. I suppose one of the most important items in any hotel is a comfortable bed especially after a route-march of a strenuous 13 miles. A morning’s stroll for... More

We stayed in this hotel in July. The location is excellent as it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to Looe centre although a bit hilly as to be expected for this area but it is was a really nice walk. If you like walking, you can walk from Hannafore Point to Polperro about 4.2 miles which has marvelous... More

Dear Alan L Hadleigh, United Kingdom “Typical older seaside hotel” And there are we hoping and trying not to be typical. Just bog standard then. A lifetime trying to be different – failed. We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. The Fieldhead is a truly characterful hotel with management oversight and adult supervision provided by the equally charming and characterful Julian. The rooms are comfy, the views spectacular, and the food outstanding. We had a great time.
