Firstly, the view from the Hotel is probably the best in Looe. The Fieldhead Hotel has been refurbished and is run by its owner, the mercurial Julian Peck, to a standard often not found in four-star hotels. We were made to feel welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for Mr Peck and his staff; even the... more

"The Fieldhead Hotel encompasses all that is good about British Hotels and is run for the enjoyment and comfort of its guest, by the owner who is dedicated to making your stay unsurpassed." All I can say, I would be proud to have that as my epitaph. I think this has to to be the greatest professional compliment I could...

I don't know why this hotel/b&b is only rated 2 stars. This deserve more than that. The place is lovely, the location is perfect - not too crowded unlike the other accommodation near the town, no problem with the parking and the VIEW....WOW!!!PERFECT!!! I am always hesitant to go for below 3 stars accommodation especially now we have two young... more

The Fieldhead is a great hotel. There have been some comments on here about the price, but a quick search will reveal that hotel/b&b prices in Looe are expensive anyway due to the area/location. When we arrived we were greated in a friendly way, and shown to our room. It was exactly as shown on the website. What the website... more

Having just returned from a fabulous weekend get together for eight at the Fieldhead I can only say what a splendid time was had by all, with an age range of early 20’s up to 80 plus, using four rooms (two standard and two superior) each was completely as advertised and spotless. The meals, which Alan prepared for us all,... more

Thank you for a lovely review. Sadly this is for our namesake in Leicester and not us in Looe.

When we booked this hotel, I assumed for some reason we were paying £75.00 per night. Based on this, we found the hotel to be of an acceptable standard, with a spacious room, although the bathroom was in need of some small repairs. Imagine my horror when I came to pay the bill and found that the cost was £75... more

My mind was feeling quite numb reading pgrimster from Gillingham, Dorset’s Review. The Fieldhead has received so many wonderful reviews this year that this just did not fall in the current pattern as more often than not we are said to be a 4 star hotel with Guest House prices. I therefore did some investigating to find that a guest...

We booked this hotel for a short break and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit dubious. I wonder now if some of the other reviewers went to the same hotel!!!! We stayed in a superior room which was large, clean and very well furnished. The out door pool was lovely and warm and we managed to... more

I emmigrated to New Zealand from England with my parents in 1961. Although my wife and I have been back to England several times this trip was my big 60th birthday trip. I had spent my holidays as a boy many times in Torquay and Looe and so we returned. I found the Fieldhead from Trip advisor and made the... more

Dear Zara08, Thank you so much for your review. Such a wonderful review, as many recently, is greatly appreciated and I hope reflect how we are at The Fieldhead Hotel. In fact, we are quite overwhelmed by the really wonderful reviews we have been receiving and would like to say, we always do everything the same way, so why some,...

We have stayed at the Fieldhead three years in a row and have always loved staying at the Fieldhead. When I read some of the bad reviews on here I decided to leave a review, as we have never had any problems. Firstly the Fieldhead has a car park which is almost unheard off in Looe. The hotel has fantastic... more

I stayed at the Fieldhead hotel in June and would absolutely recomend it. The views over Looe bay, the hotel gardens and swimming pool were gorgeous-we had great weather which always helps! My room was lovely and the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful or obliging. I have been to Looe many times before but had not eaten... more
