Beautifully sited overlooking the sea and Looe Island. Spotless rooms. Lovely bedroom with sea view and large en suite. Beautifully decorated throughout. Welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. Sitting room/conservatory overlooks the sea and promenade. Coastpath to Polperro starts within a very short walk of the hotel. Lovely cooked breakfast. Understood coeliac/gluten free condition and catered appropriately. (Thank you.) Definitely stay again... More

We stayed at this guest house for a week in October. I just had a feeling about it from the moment I found it on the internet and was not dissapointed. It was all I hoped it would be. What can I say about Calico that hasn’t already been said? From the moment we arrived on Sunday afternoon we were made to feel completely at home. Darren welcomed us with open arms (and gorgeous shih-tzu Lulu). He helped with unloading our car and getting our bags upstairs and organised a fresh pot of tea and biscuits in the sunshine... More

I have just come back from staying for three nights at Calico whilst working in the area. Kim and Darren are welcoming hosts, that really look after their guests. The views are fantastic from this very comfortable and extremely well cared for property. Everything is immaculate, and the choice at breakfast is very good and all of a high quality.... More

Wow what can I say. Lovely welcoming atmosphere as soon as you arrive. Very clean and tidy. The room we had was like heaven and the bed I didn't want to leave as it was so comfortable. It's obvious that the owners wanted to set a good impression. And it their attention to detail at the Calico will not let... More

We stayed here on 2 non-adjacent nights in May of this year. Darren and Kim were great hosts. The breakfasts were lovely, with a nice variety. The view of the bay is gorgeous and there is a nice walk along the bluffs just a couple blocks away. We will stay there again if we find ourselves in Cornwall.
