Great location, fabulous staff, perfect room and then an awesome breakfast - lulled to sleep by sea shanties being sung in the bar. This is the REAL Cornwall. Located next to the quayside in East Looe.

Stayed here last week with our dog the mad lab (barney) Good bits first we were looking for sum where too stay at short notice and checked with the jolly sailor if they would accept a booking with our lab, as they only allow small dogs. Happy days they accepted our booking (but did inform us the room was quite... More

Just stayed for a couple of nights at this hotel over valentines weekend, and could not fault the place. A warm welcome from the minute we walked in. Lovely old fashioned pub very warm and cosy. The front double room had all necessities including tea and coffee making facilities and was very warm. Local people were very friendly and talkative... More

First time visit to Looe and we found this to be the most welcoming of pubs.Soon stuck up a conversation with the only other people in the place, it was a very chilly early evening. The pub is full of period features and the ale was on top form. We are here for another week and will certainly be revisiting... More

We spent one night at the Jolly Sailor Inn, in freezing weather, hail, sleet, Northerly winds....you name it! The Jolly Sailor was warm, comfy and very friendly. We had an upgrade on our room (the only two guests staying in it) and couldn't find fault with anything. The bar staff, manager and generally anyone we met were very friendly and... More

Recently had a two night stay here to celebrate a birthday and in general we were pleasantly surprised. Firstly the positives; the service was excellent all round without exception. The bar staff were helpful, the managers were polite and friendly, and we really couldn't fault them. The pub was friendly, cosy, and largely populated by locals which is usually a... More

My son and I, visited this pub, for the first time, Saturday 6 December, after meeting music-group Minor Quay earlier in the year . The purpose was to take part in the Open-Evening, with my guitar, and two songs, as a tribute to the start of 1st World War , 100 years ago. A super and lively response from all... More

I would totally recommend this fab place to anyone. A friendly old pub with a fantastic atmosphere. The rooms are spotless & comfortable. And a great breakfast included in the price. I will definitely be returning.

Visited here for a nice relaxing drink. Clearly a locals onky establishment. The barmaid was disinterested and unfriendly. She got my drink completely wrong but had no intention of changing it. She turned her back on us to chat to the few locals at the bar. We left and won't return.

Please accept my apologies for your bad experience. To avoid this happening again I would appreciate you advising me roughly when and what time of day you came into the pub so I can determine which member of staff was on duty and give her more customer service training. Kind regards Stuart More
