We called here for a drink every night whilst walking back to our hotel. It was a friendly pub, full of locals. One night they had a "music night" which we could hear but couldn't get too as the door to this room was shut. It was a great pub for a drink of the local beer.

We visited for drinks not to eat. Everything was great about this pub, the oldest in Looe. A little of the main road so not packed and a lovely atmosphere and good service. We didn't eat, just stopped for drinks and we were glad we visited

Needing a night's accommodation while driving through Cornwall, the Jolly Sailor is a good value while other B&Bs cost much more. Yes the room is basic, however ours was clean, quiet (even for being above the pub) with an en-suite shower, and a filling full English breakfast. Free parking is a challenge to find, however there is pay and display... More

We stayed for 3 nights in room 2, I believe there are 4 rooms in total. Looe is a popular place to stay and the hotels can be very expensive or simply fully booked, the Jolly Sailor Inn is a great alternative and very competitive with pricing, breakfast is included! The room was large with good light, a comfy bed... More

Typical locals pub. You get what you expect, a range of St Austell ales ( if the barman can be bothered to change the barrel) Central location. Separate family area. Ok for a quick drink on your way home or a session with mates, if you're not looking for comfort or style. Depends what you want from a pub. Run... More

Stayed for one night, the pub is a cracking locals venue, being right on the harbour front you get local fisherman in and they are true characters. The rooms are clean, a bit basic, but for the price and ambience they are good value. Breakfast was excellent - definitely would stay again.

The sort of place we particularly like to stay - a 'proper' pub, well located & with friendly & helpful staff. Our accommodation was excellent - a first floor double that was spacious & bright, with almost triple aspect windows (two sides plus a corner). Our breakfast was brilliant. The pub itself is traditional & unspoilt, with good beer &... More

We loved the Jolly Sailor. It is centrally situated, ideal for walking around Looe. Our room was fabulous. A real pub - can imagine us becoming locals if we lived in the town. The fact that we could park outside was a real bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We had a most enjoyable stay at this very old pub, friendly staff & lovely atmosphere. Only thing that let it down was that there was no fruit option at breakfast. The folk evening on Tuesday was an added bonus.
