We stay in Falmouth a lot, but this time was the worst experience we have had. Had to book it as the usual very nice 2 star hotel (Anacapri) we use was full. Will book earlier next time! We had a tiny room, very basic. tea and coffee facilities in the room but the only place to plug in the... more

Stayed four nights at the Engleton which was a little tired but was clean and cosy. The breakfast was as good as any we have eaten: I say eaten, but we found it impossible to eat it all. There was generally enough on one plate to feed my wife and myself. Take some bread rolls...................you can make sandwiches to last... more

Was very average but was in an ideal location and the people were friendly. Breakfast was OK, not the best but had enough to keep me going until lunch. Rooms are very old fashioned but if you're staying just for a weekend then it doesn't really matter. Bathroom was OK and clean. more

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at Castleton B&B. The room was awesome, big and clean - better than many hotel rooms I've seen. Great bathroom, very good shower. A very friendly place, good service and good location too, very central and easy to get to without a car. Big breakfast with vegetarian option. I recommend this place, and... more

We were made to feel really at home. Rooms comfy & clean and breakfasts great, just too much. As we weren't driving found it to be handy for coach & bus/train links. good value for money. more

This was the worst stay in a B and B we have ever had! The place is not like the website would suggest. Ten out of ten to the webpage designer, zero out of ten for accuracy. It's noisy, has foul breakfasts and to cap it all the bed stunk of stale bodies/sweat we couldn't stay any longer and booked... more

We really didn't enjoy our stay here. The room was really shabby and cold. I got woken up at the crack of dawn by the seagulls and we could hear people walking upstairs. The breakfast, which we had to go next door to get, was all deep fried and disgusting. We checked out after one night (of a planned 3-night... more

Booked this after reading 'Engleton House's' own website. Looked nice in picture and said it was located in a quiet area. Actually located on one of the busiest roads in Falmouth, so got little sleep (together with the 'street' noise in the early hours - don't know whether it's a 'red light' area?). Double room: had to turn sideways to... more

We have just returned from 5 nights at Engleton House. We were disappointed as we felt it did not live up to the description given on the website. "Quality" should not mean chipped crockery. In general, it was adequate accommodation but we would not feel able to recommend it. more
