We only stayed at this B&B for one night however we were happy with the accommodation. The full breakfast was very nice and big. The rooms were clean and spacious and also had wifi in the room which was handy. The location was also handy to walk into the town centre

Great location as we were visiting the University for my daughters interview. Very friendly. Breakfasts were great. Room was fresh and clean. Will certainly recommend.

We stayed three nights when visiting our daughter at University. Sarah was really friendly and breakfast was outstanding. Our room was clean & comfy with well stocked tea & coffee, even biscuits. Great location as an easy walk to find some really good restaurants. Furnishings & carpets were a bit worn, but Sarah tells us that much will be updated... More

En-suite advertised but shower not working despite being reported for two night stay. Clean towels replaced daily. Would not wish to stay here a second time.

I stayed in July 2011. The owner was very helpful on the phone and the person who worked there was extremely patient and friendly, but I had a very bad night's sleep due to a group of builders who were working in the area and staying long term. They came in and were so inconsiderate and noisy, slamming doors, shouting and... After a long trip, i needed a place to stay. On phoning around a few, and one not wanting me to park my van outside, i came across the Castleton & Engleton. They didnt mind i would be checking in late or i needed to leave early.. They were welcoming and friendly. I would recommmend to anyone.

The room was very basic. When i went to take a shower shortly after arriving there was an empty bottle of someone elses shampoo and their were some hairs around the cubicle-not good. The room was very warm but u could not adjust the heat-either off or very warm. The bed was so uncomfortable and noisy as our room was... More
