My wife and I stayed in the Falmouth Hotel over the weekend, taking advantage of the "Classics" offer. Having had our wedding reception here many years ago, and having stayed here many times since, I can only say that the hotel is getting better and better. From arrival to departure the staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful,... More

My daughter and I stayed at The Falmouth Hotel for one night on 30th January 2012. We were made welcome from the start. On our arrival, late afternoon we were told about a special offer for dinner, costing £20 each for 3 courses, so we booked. We weren't disappointed, the food was wonderful. Our twin room was comfortable and quiet.... More

We are touring Cornwall and were pleased to find a Richardson Hotel in Falmouth, having spent time at two of the groups other Hotels The Grand at Torquay & Fowey Hotel in Fowey and never been disappointed, we booked for Sunday lunch, a lovely three course lunch with a traditional but imaginative menu, cooked to perfection, lovely relaxing atmosphere topped... We stayed at the Falmouth Hotel on spec for one night on 2 January. The charming Receptionist immediately told us about a special offer including dinner, and took us up to choose a room. It was huge, very comfortably furnished, lovely sea view over the beach, ships out at sea, and Pendennis Castle. We enjoyed tea in the bar, an... More

Stayed here for a extended weekend and couldn't fault a thing. This is a typical, quality British hotel where good old fahioned service is a priority. The room was huge, light, clean and very well appointed even though we had not purchased any form of upgrade. The food a delight from breakfast to dinner. Thoroughly recommended. More

Before I start my rant, I have to say that this in no way a reflection on the front of house staff, who did their best in the circumstances, and I would add that the food is very good. However..... I work shifts. I was booked into the Falmouth hotel as a night worker, ie, sleeping through the day. First... More

Dear deeveeant, Thank you for your recent review following your stay with us. I am sorry that we did met neither your expectations nor our own normal standards of care and hospitality. We do have an old building but this is no excuse for us letting the rooms when they are not ready. As I have alluded to in other... More

have stayed here on a few occasions now. the breakfast is very good and you get a lot of choice. the decor is in some areas a little shabby but adds to the ambience of the period feel. the couchs in the bar area are so comfy, you just sit back with a coffee looking out at the ships on... More

I have family in Falmouth so I've been visiting the town for decades, and for all that time I've been meaning to stay at the Falmouth Hotel and not getting round to it. Eventually I did and I was pleased I had. There's no doubt that the Falmouth has about the best location of any of the hotels along the... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a long weekend. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the location superb. It's minutes from the train station and overlooks the beach with excellent views. The decor is dated (there appeared to be some renovation on-going during our stay), but doesn't detract at all from the overall... More
