We took the opportunity for a autumn break here having parked oputside the hotel for many years when visiting Falmouth. The exterior & grounds look fabulous. However, when you step inside, you realise how tired this hotel is. I felt like getting my DIY kit and paint brush and help out. Possibly an idea for the hotel if funds are... more

All in all not bad, had a large corner suite with fantastic views. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Room was a bit shabby, wallpaper blistering and carpet a bit threadbare. Bathroom suite very 1970's but worked ok. There were a lack of electrical outlets in the room, every one had a lamp plugged in and there were no spares... more

We stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend and have only good things to say about this hotel. There was a mix up (which was our fault) ordering from the evening bar menu, and staff were polite and courteous, and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied, even without being asked, which we really appreciated!... more

The Falmouth Hotel, Beach Road, Falmouth This hotel needs to be closed down and instantly refurbished. Thread bare carpet in main areas, wood paneling damaged and breaking. Very tired, was probably very nice in the Victorian times but has had no work done on it since. No signal for your mobile. Dinner was worth it, but was spoilt by the... more

We stayed in a Premier room with sea view on an unrenovated floor and found this hotel to be very pleasant and excellently located. The decor was fine and appropiate to the age of the property. There is obviously a wide variation in the standard of rooms, but perhaps this is reflected in the price and you just need to... more

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel for a few days in May 2009. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location overlooking the bay, and only a few minutes walk from the beach and main shopping area and harbour. The hotel looks amazing from the outside with great grounds and views overlooking the bay. Inside however it... more

I have now stayed at the Falmouth about 12 times and absolutely love it. Please do not expect a perfect hotel. This one is a bit outdated and shabby in places but that is definately part of its charms. When travelling to cornwall with work or pleasure i will always try and stay at the Falmouth. Location is fab, if... more
