I stayed here for a single night with my girlfriend. This hotel has the potential to be amazing. The location is stunning, the grounds great and the building has a touch of faded glory about it. However, everything's a bit 1970s .. a bit dated .. not too bad but not too good either. The room was large and clean... more

We stayed in a "select" sea facing double room at £100 per night. Our room smelt of paint and we could'nt open or close the window as it had been painted stuck. The furniture was cheap and old, and our bed a so called double, was two singles pushed together. The TV was a very small portable that hissed. It... more

Arrived without my Late Rooms booking reference!! No problem for the young lady at receptional, she apologised and simply booked us at the same very low rate. Just £69 for a lovely double room with a full Cornish breakfast, amazing value. The Hotel has a lovely atmosphere, built in its own grounds with a huge lawn at the front &... more

I must admit I usually have a look on trip advisor before staying anywhere - on this occasion I did not and to be honest glad I did not. We came for a long weekend - 1st January (2 nights), with no advance booking. When arriving at reception was pleased they had a sea view room vacant (305) so went... more

We took the opportunity for a autumn break here having parked oputside the hotel for many years when visiting Falmouth. The exterior & grounds look fabulous. However, when you step inside, you realise how tired this hotel is. I felt like getting my DIY kit and paint brush and help out. Possibly an idea for the hotel if funds are... more

All in all not bad, had a large corner suite with fantastic views. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Room was a bit shabby, wallpaper blistering and carpet a bit threadbare. Bathroom suite very 1970's but worked ok. There were a lack of electrical outlets in the room, every one had a lamp plugged in and there were no spares... more

We stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend and have only good things to say about this hotel. There was a mix up (which was our fault) ordering from the evening bar menu, and staff were polite and courteous, and went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied, even without being asked, which we really appreciated!... more

The Falmouth Hotel, Beach Road, Falmouth This hotel needs to be closed down and instantly refurbished. Thread bare carpet in main areas, wood paneling damaged and breaking. Very tired, was probably very nice in the Victorian times but has had no work done on it since. No signal for your mobile. Dinner was worth it, but was spoilt by the... more

We stayed in a Premier room with sea view on an unrenovated floor and found this hotel to be very pleasant and excellently located. The decor was fine and appropiate to the age of the property. There is obviously a wide variation in the standard of rooms, but perhaps this is reflected in the price and you just need to... more
