We booked just one night here, bringing our daughter back to uni after the Christmas break. When booking the hotel, the person (lady) on the phone was really helpful, and very friendly and welcoming. I asked if we had to check out on the Sunday at a particular time, and she said normally but they would let us stay unit... More

I stayed for 1 night over Christmas. I found the hotel to be very pleasant and comfortable, clean and in good decorative order. It is an ideal location for all the local amenities such as railway station, bars, restaurants and beaches etc. I was made very welcome by Juliette and Michael when I arrived. I stayed in a deluxe single room... More

I was due to stay at this hotel the first weekend in November however due to work commitments, I am a serving member of the Royal Navy, I was unable to make it and was unable to contact the hotel to cancel myself. My girlfriend rang on my behalf and was confronted with the rudest and most unhelpful woman. She... More

What's not to like about this small, family run hotel! It's friendly, comfortable, clean, an easy walk from the station and close enough to the sea to hear the waves at night. Add in a welcoming cafetiere of coffee or pot of tea, with shortbread, lovely breakfast - locally sourced, even the butter was Cornish, all freshly cooked to order,... More

Exactly what you'd expect from a grand old townhouse hotel/B&B. Slightly fraying charm, nice bed linens and bathroom. Breakfast OK and strangely only from 8am weekdays, making it tight for me on business. Must be live,y in the summer. Lots of restaurants up the street around the harbour.

Only stayed the one night, but would have happily stayed a lot longer! Extremely friendly greeting, complemented with a cup of coffee. Nice tidy room, very comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast the following morning. The only minor drawback is that the car park only has room for about 4 cars, but there is plenty of parking in the roads... More

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at this family run hotel was wonderful. There was a good choice at breakfast, including full English. The hotel has a pleasant sitting room and garden area and is both close to the Promenade and beach and, in the opposite direction, the town. My room was the furthest from reception and was quite...
