The owners are rude. Lots of fights and racism comments. You have to pay cash! The pub is dark and dirty. Uncomfortable atmosphere. The male 'owner' is violent towards non English people. The landlady is brutal.

And by basic I don't mean poor. This wee gem has everything you need without frills or fuss. The rooms are a good standard, comfortable but not flashy. The food in the pub downstairs is decent pub grub, the beer is very well kept and the owners and locals are a friendly chatty bunch. Used the Prince of Wales a... More

My wife and I have visited the Prince of Wales for a drink for several years now when we are on a break down in Falmouth. Good ale, friendly locals, live music, juke box, pool table and a lovely friendly couple in Dave and Jane who look after the establishment. Our local when away from home... A proper pub!

Everything you could possibly need - comfortable bed, clean and spacious room. Tea/coffee facilities. Towels and soap/shower gel provided in the en suite. Friendly publicans and a hearty breakfast to set you up for a day exploring the Cornish countryside. Will definitely be back again and again; and recommend to others!

I lived in Falmouth for three years and whenever I come back down to visit, I tend to stay nearer to the beach, usually St Michael's, the Grove, or similar. In the future I'll stick to what I know. Though it's a decent location and the room was fairly clean, the service was unfriendly and nearly downright rude. The bald... More

Stayed here recently to catch up with family and were not disappointed with the location and the friendliness of the place. If you want somewhere central in Falmouth with immediate access to boat trips and shopping then this is the place for you. The only proviso I would say is that if you like a quiet early night then this... More
