Great location, directly opposite the PoW pier from where many boats leave on day-trips or ferry-crossings. Good for all the shops and bars/restaurants that Falmouth has to offer, as well as art galleries. 20 minute walk to the beaches. The hosts Jayne and Dave were lovely and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfasts for the four days of... More

The POW is a pub right slap-bang in the centre of Falmouth, with only a couple of rooms upstairs, and a very friendly landlord & landlady. The room my partner & I booked was a massive family room, with a king-sized bed & another single bed, plus enough room for table, chairs, dressing table, wardrobe, plus en suite. Be aware... More

We just had one night here (thank goodness), on a Friday, as we were working locally early the next morning. On arrival (having found that the “free parking nearby” is a fiction - at least in July - had to pay to park in a public car park up a very steep hill from the pub) I was asked to... More

Stayed here 3 nights recently and it was excellent. Friendly owners, great breakfast, central location in Falmouth. Lots of places to eat and drink in the area- and very handy for the boat trips leaving the pier. We were able to park in a long stay park close by and stroll down to the pub when we finished our adventures... More

Very friendly pub with a pleasant mix of locals and visitors. We ordered the fish pie and the chowder. Both can be recommended but the chowder is fantastic. Diners on neighbouring tables were also praising their meals. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. We will definitely be making a second visit.

This is a traditional pub with fine tasting real ales. They serve a great breakfast -- choice of either continental (cereal, fruit, and toast or croissant) or a nice Cornish breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, beans...). I chose the continental, and the fruit salad was fresh - even had kiwi fruit! They supply a little order slip when you arrive, so... More

We have stayed here on several occasions, most recently over Easter week this year. Jayne and Dave, who run this excellent establishment, are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food is all freshly prepared, of good quality and offers really good value for money. As our teenage son was with us this time, Jayne and Dave... More
