We returned to Bosvathic House for a second stay recently, it is such a delightful and peaceful place to visit. Again Kate was very welcoming and helpful, giving us advice on where to eat in the evening and booking a table for us. Our bedroom was large and very comfortable, tastefully furnished and the spacious bathroom just opposite was also... More

I stayed here with my daughter and friends on an open day visit to Falmouth University. The house is charming, filled with interesting furniture and knickknacks. Clearly a much loved family home. the gardens were lovely although I was a little perturbed when my daughter returned from a walk around the grounds to say they'd discovered a pit of severed... More

A beautiful house in a peaceful setting, a warm welcome from Kate the owner who provided tea and chocolate cake on the terrace overlooking the lawns. Our room was large, the bed comfortable, the bathroom opposite provided a good shower. Breakfast was excellent with fresh strawberries, numerous cereals and a well cooked "English"! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.... More

I really like historic houses. This house is old and it feels a bit like being in a large family home as a guest. There is no fire burning when you Come back from your daily tour. We missed the Welcome atmosphere. The house is packed in all rooms with millions of things, old and new and you can't see... More

We were sorry to hear that you didn't feel that Bosvathick House was 'a real B&B'. We have been offering Bed & Breakfast at Bosvathick for several years now and we believe we provide a unique B&B experience. The house has been in the family since 1760 and remains a family home. We have intentionally tried not to change things... More

A fantastic house with big rooms and loads of atmosphere. Great dining room for breakfast, with lots of antiques etc. Very comfortable bed, and excellent breakfast, with very friendly host. The bathroom was not ensuite, and was down a corridor, but robes provided. If you want modern up to date with ensuite, then this is not for you, but if... More

40% of country houses that take guests are luxurious, amazing and very expensive. The other 59% offer sub-par service. And all of them feel like hotels rather than The actual estates they once were. This place is the remaining 1%. A country house that is still a country house. It just happens that you can pay to stay with the... More

My wife and I were transported back to the 18th century in this delightful, ancient, rambling house and grounds. Breakfast in the enormous dining room being stared at by the ancestors in their portraits on the walls is an experience worth the visit alone. Unfortunately we stayed for only 2 days, but we shall return . . .

Bosvathick is a beautiful old country house buried deep within the lanes of Cornwall. The house has been in the owners' family for centuries, so the pictures on the walls really are of the ancestors. The welcome is warm and friendly and the breakfasts delicious. The only challenge is the distance to the bathroom if you stay in the main,... More
