Recommended by friends as a good place to stay and eat in the area and I was delighted with everything. Proper people, proper beer, proper whisky, proper food, proper wood burning stove, proper pub dog and a proper nights sleep. What more could I have asked for! I'll be back...

A tranquil setting for a lovely old traditional inn. The staff were very welcoming. The bar was bustling when we arrived for a late sunday lunch. We went for a sandwich as we were dining later and the bacon & brie in ciabatta was delicious with a dressed salad & chips it was also very filling! The room was clean... More

Our second visit to this little gem. The reviewer that used the word quirky is spot on.Set off the beaten track in 6 acres of informal gardens it really is somewhere to relax and unwind . The food is excellent, however we felt that some dishes were a little overpriced but there was plenty of choice at both ends of... More

This pub is traditional but quirky, with a very welcoming atmosphere. The Food was exceptional and very well presented whilst still maintaining it's "home cooked" feel. We felt immediately comfortable and relaxed. The staff were caring, attentive, and very friendly. It was like the "local" you always strive to find, and we honestly couldn't fault it. Looking forward to our... More

Stayed here last week for one night whilst on business in the area. I really liked this place. I was shown to my room (11) which was clean and tidy with a desk and good wifi access. Tea/coffee & biscuits in the room and also the offer of a jug of fresh milk in addition to the uht was a... More

We had a lovely night at Trengilly. On booking I spoke to a very helpful lady who recommended room no. 1. What a great room - a four poster bed, hugh bathroom and very stylish. The bed was very comfortable and I would choose this room again. What was really great was being able to wander down the stairs to... More

Had a fabulous 6 night stay here, everything was wonderful. Loved the room (Room 1), very well appointed and the hotel was staffed by very friendly and helpful people. Food was excellent, and the bar very atmospheric. Hope to return again in the not too distant future.

We found this place on Tripadvisor and we're not disappointed, the staff were really friendly and happy to help. The food was good and the menu had lots of options. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean and large though the pressure in the shower was a bit weak. Breakfast was very nice and the homemade marmalade was a... More

Having dined at the Trengilly Wartha many times whilst on holiday we booked to stay two nights with friends as a base for our visit to The Minack Theatre. We were not disappointed, all three couples were very pleased with their rooms and dinner and breakfasts were excellent. All staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Booked... The Inn is very quaint and run by very attentive staff. Our only disappointment was our room smelled like wet dog. The inn is clearly very dog friendly. There was a dog in the next room and one night 8 dogs in the bar at the same time. We love dogs but don't want our room to smell of them.... More

Thank you for the review it was very helpful for us to identify a problem with the room. on further investigation we discovered the fitted shower was leaking behind the wall and flooding under the whole room hence the fusty damp smell. We have taken the opertunity to completely renovate these rooms and change the design and layout. pictures on... More
