Stayed for a few weeks whilst working in the area. Very reasonably priced, well kitted out, quiet and clean rooms/ facilities alongside kind hosts. Convenient and close to the train station. Advise to maybe learn some AGA dishes and tricks if you’re cooking at the hostel

I stayed only one night at Falmouth Lodge Backpackers and was quite sorry I wasn't staying longer. It's budget accommodation and not flashy, but well worth the very, very decent price. Neat and tidy place, very warm welcome, good communal areas and facilities (the ancient cooking range in the kitchen is only for the adventurous, mind you!!), located within about... More

Just what I wanted somewhere right on the South West Coast Path which is cheap and cheerful. I am a walker so just want a shower and a comforable bunk to crash. Loved it. The young female warden was just brilliant. She was so friendly and recommended two great lively pubs to frequent. The facilities were fine. Loads of hot... More

Me and 7 others travelled from Yorkshire to see the university in Falmouth so we ideally wanted somewhere cheap however still clean. We where due to arrive around 11pm, so throughout the day I tried to ring to let her know but there was no answer so I would advice ringing the mobile number on the website as well. It... More

This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. Warm and welcoming, cooking facilities include an Aga, fridge space and a dishwasher. I stayed for 8 nights while on a kayaking course and it was wonderful to come back to a clean hot shower, a warm kitchen with a cup of tea, and Judi's welcome. It... More

A first for my wife & I (over 70years) at a backpackers. We stayed with Judi for one night before and after a boating trip from Falmouth. We had the attic room, with ensuite... a bit of a struggle to get our gear up three levels but clean and comfortable. Judi was a great host, organised our washing, and allowed... More

Judi was great, allowed us to book the entire Backpackers because we were 21. Looked after us very well indeed. The perfect start to a long trip ahead. We were allowed to cook our own breakfast using the aga and Judi supplied bread and cereal. Thank you from all of us.

We felt at home there. Judi was really helpful and kind. She tries to make everybody feel comfortable. At her place you're not a client, you are a true guest! And she is the perfect host. the building is located on a quiet street but really close to the sea and to the commercial centre.

The kitchen is the centre of the experience, cook your own meals or share others or just sit with a drink and enjoy the stories of travelers from all over. This is a place to feel at home in and not just a place to rest for a night although it works on that level as well.
