This was my second visit to the Madeira Hotel, travelling with Alfa tours. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is good, staff pleasant and sea view rooms are well worth the extra. Nice to walk along the front and its a 15 minute walk into Falmouth town. The beds were very comfortable, no springs felt here! and we slept... More

I attempted to make a long term booking for my husband but was told point blank it wasn't possible as they were planning to close some weekends during the period I wanted. I replied that that was no problem as he intended to be back at home some weekends and could work around it, The reply I got was that... More

Dear Beanie 670 We are sorry that we could not accommodate your husband’s booking but as we advised when you first enquired, the hotel is not open for a substantial part of the time your husband wished to stay. More

Stayed in the Madeira Hotel - room 16 - travelled down on 12/1014 to 18/10/14 - lovely hotel - most staff were friendly - the girls probably need frontline training - they didn't make any effort to speak - only spoke of you spoke to them that's if they looked up if you were going passed them - lads always... We stayed again at the Madeira hotel on 30 and 31 August 2014 to visit the Tall Ships in Falmouth and to follow the Parade of Sail. We had a sea view and the staff were all very helpful. The breakfasts and evening meals were all very good with plenty to choose from. Definitely not poor quality. The vegetarian options... More

We needed a place for one night but this was a disappointing choice. Room was clean and staff friendly but décor was cheap and outdated. It was very hot and we had paid extra for sea view but could not leave the balcony door open as it opened onto a shared terrace. Breakfast poor quality/ cheap ingredients. Location pretty and... Ok this would have been higher as bathrooms are new and clean and staff are nice But I have had six nights of rubbish sleep in the must uncomfortable bed and the creamy mushroom entree was two pieces that equated to half of one button mushroom. Serious bad portion control and at breakfast you have to order cereal no continental... More

We stayed here for one night and found everything to our satisfaction. We had a spacious room that was clean, if somewhat dated, but which had a lovely large ensuite bathroom that had obviously been replaced very recently. We didn't have a sea view but we only wanted a room to sleep in for a night; owing to the beautiful... More
