Do not read the bad reviews and assume they are exaggerated disgruntled customers. The place is a dump. It smells. It is dirty. Rundown. Badly furnished. It's also expensive: at half the price and advertise as basic accommodation it still wouldn't be acceptable. Dear booking.com, take this off your site.

We stayed here as our previous booking was cancelled at last minute so thought we were lucky to get anywhere as it was Tall Ships weekend. The hotel is at the top of the hill out of town a good 30 minutes walk away. Fine on the way in but uphill all the way back! The hotel is in a... More

Have recently returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel. Got to say I agree with the previous reviews - IT IS TERRIBLE! and the worse thing was how rude and arrogant the owner was. I have never stayed in such a tatty and obviously unloved hotel. I was so disappointed because on there website it sounded like a... More

we stayed in family room (room 23) for 2 nights in august 2014. i wish i had looked on here first. they advertise wifi in all rooms but said there was non in our room due to a steel wall in the corridor. decor was shabby and out dated, wires everywhere for extension leads. the bathroom was tiny and fittings... Whilst the cleanliness seems to have improved from what previous reviews describe, I found the owners to be fairly rude and remote during my stay. The internet connection is poor and in my case was wired rather than WiFi. Whilst the waitresses were polite the owner told me to clear off when I was eating breakfast on the morning of... More

Having stayed at this establishment some two years ago, I instructed my company not to use the place in future.......run down, shabby, damp and more importantly, no discernible smoke detectors in the guest rooms. We have new admin staff and unfortunately they were using an old hotel data base to book our hotels. Having been booked into this hotel (?)... More

The rate charged for this hotel are no way what should be charged .It is run down and needs a make over (not some that is easy for a small family run hotel) The room was a good size but badly need doing up .I can not comment on the food as I did not eat or drink here .The... More

The Rosslyn is outside of the city centre and thus not to be recommended for people arriving by train. If you come by car, you'll find free parking space in front of the hotel. You will appreciate the friendly welcome by helpful people at the reception. Rooms are proper and rather simple. After a quiet night you may be early... More

We only stayed for one night at this hotel, the interior decor is very tired and dated in fact the whole hotel is in need of a facelift. On the plus side the rooms and the public areas of the hotel were clean and tidy, there was a good choice for breakfast in the morning and it was well cooked... More

Thankfully we only booked for one night, the last time we needed to stay in Falmouth as we were collecting relative after their final year at uni. The hotel is best described as old and tired. We had a very small TV a really old model and the sound was fading often no sound at all. We were not expecting... More
