The Rosslyn is outside of the city centre and thus not to be recommended for people arriving by train. If you come by car, you'll find free parking space in front of the hotel. You will appreciate the friendly welcome by helpful people at the reception. Rooms are proper and rather simple. After a quiet night you may be early... More

We only stayed for one night at this hotel, the interior decor is very tired and dated in fact the whole hotel is in need of a facelift. On the plus side the rooms and the public areas of the hotel were clean and tidy, there was a good choice for breakfast in the morning and it was well cooked... More

Thankfully we only booked for one night, the last time we needed to stay in Falmouth as we were collecting relative after their final year at uni. The hotel is best described as old and tired. We had a very small TV a really old model and the sound was fading often no sound at all. We were not expecting... More

My husband and I are walking the South West Coast Path and often do 10 -12 miles in a day. We always like to have a comfortable bed and most essentially a bath, which we find prevents stiffness. We found both of these at the Rosslyn Hotel. In recent years, many B+B s and small hotels have taken out bathrooms... More

We stayed here with six friends stayed here for two nights. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Good find for a short weekend away

Booked as a group booking so if you had 23 booked you would not wait til the day of arrival to get extra staff. Thus hotel owner and wife ran bar, cooked and served meals on Friday night. Hence very poor service, badly cooked meals, cold food, lack of condiments/sauces. Total kybosh and when we dared to complain we were... More

We had a very comfortable one night stay and found it to be welcoming and clean. We thought the evening meal was cooked to perfection - we both had steak and the breakfast was also superb. The location was ideal for us as it's probably a 10 minute walk from the town and our room overlooked the garden at the... More

This hotel is an old-fashioned family hotel, in need of some upgrading but the proprietors are friendly and the food is good. It reminded me of places I stayed in as a child. Things have moved on a bit since then, so I can see why some reviewers were unhappy with the décor, but if you don't mind that it... More

Reading the reviews, I didn't know what to expect, but I was very happy with the hotel, service and rooms, not to mention breakfast and our main meals... Brilliant food, really was, it's made the week away from home working here much better and will make sure I book this one again:) MTS
