We stayed for a week in august for our nieces wedding. Our 3 daughters and their husbands came with our granddaughter. Heidi and Paul were great hosts. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We were only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. Looking forward to staying here again next year.

Stayed in the observatory for two nights whilst visting Cornwall. Easy to find, parking on the front, a nice welcome on arrival. Shown to our room (no 5) which had everything we needed and more. Was nice and clean. The owners paul and Heidi was both lovely very freindly and helpfull and informative about the local area. On both days... More

This was the last stop of our holiday touring around Cornwall. We were given our keys on arrival to room 2 which had a slight old musty smell and a door that would stick but otherwise was extremely clean and had its own shower room/toilet . The hosts were very welcoming informing us of the area and could not do... More

I went to the above with a group of 5 friends on a weekend away looking around the local area. The building is quite old with quirky large rooms with lots of windows. Landlord and Land Lady were wonderful really friendly with lots of local knowledge and made us really welcome. Parking is available for all of the rooms on... More

Sometimes you feel you want to give a place to stay 5 stars not because it's dripping with opulent luxury, but because everything it does, it does right and - more importantly - because after one visit, you can't really imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. Such is the case with The Observatory. Run by a very friendly couple, Heidi... More

Well enough located for town, comfortable and inexpensive (probably well priced), I was disappointed that the room (gd fl room 2) smelled musty and I had to have the window open all night to counteract it. Breakfast was only served between 0900-1000, at least on Sat and Sun, which for me was much too late to make the best of... More

We had a wonderful welcome as we arrived from Heidi and throughout our stay she and Paul did everything that they possibly could to ensure that our stay was very enjoyable! We stayed in a room by the front door, on the ground floor and although we couldn't get the wifi signal in our room very easily, the dining room... More

The hosts were very friendly and went over and above to make us feel welcome. We stayed in room 5 and it was everything you would want. The bed was very very comfortable, it was very clean and facilities were great. The breakfast was also very good and had a lot to choose from. This guest house just added great... More
