Considering the low price and great location this was a great place to stay for our night in Chester. Only a few hundred metres from the city walls. The rooms were small but clean and sufficient. The kitchen was likewise little but clean and stocked.

We spend there with my boyfriend in a twin room one month in the first half of the year 2014. The location of the hostel was great, because it was in the centre of Chester – a town of around 77 000 inhabitants – so you could do the entire town’s sightseeing simply on foot. For a lower price (34GBP... More

The staff was really friendly. The rooms were very clean and the hostel was very close to the railwaystation and the city centre. What I really loved was the state of the showers and the kitchen. I will definately come back!

Visited with trepidation as never stayed at a hostel before. The owner was very friendly and helpful showing us round and giving us any help needed. The room we were in was dated and very cramped for 3 people but above all else very clean. We were only there to sleep in it and was less than £20 each-what more... More

Having not stayed in many hostels before I was a bit worried initially if only because the other hostels we stayed in had been affiliated with the YHA rather than being an independent outfit. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, however, as the staff was exceedingly friendly, the location was convenient, and the rooms/facilities were sufficient. We stayed... More

We slept in the dorm (18 bed), the room has only one very small window, so air was bad. The beds were very uncomfortable and flimsy, whenever I turned, the one below awoke and if somebody in the room moved, the bed's noise woke me up. And I am usually not waking up easily... Bathroom facilities in the basement and... More

My partner and I stayed at the end of October for a night out in Chester; we had a private ensuite double room for £42 which is a good price for central Chester on a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The kitchen area was also clean and there was coffee, tea, milk... More
