Love going to this wonderful pub in the heart of Chester for the history and sheer presence of this great pub that also i think offers accommodation. On our last vist the pub was packed ,but we managed to get a decent table and enjoyed a very pleasant couple of hour's sampling some of their great range of beer's. The... More

Awesome fantastic place. The staff couldn't be anymore helpful, they made our stay brilliant. Yes there are some reviews about poor water pressure and its true, BUT that is a minor issue in a place were everything else is fantastic. Thank you for a great weekend.

I arrived to a warm welcome on a cold day. The fire was lit and the atmosphere was cosy. When I booked in the Manager Zac kept me entertained with stories of the building being haunted and the History behind it all. He showed me to my room which was the four poster delux bedroom. It was full of character,... More

We have stayed/dined here on many occasions - great comfortable rooms, large choice of quality well priced food & big selection of ales/spirits/wines, usually with top class live music, all dealt with by charming and efficient staff including the odd harmless ghost! What more could you want?

Stayed for one night in February. Staff were extremely welcoming and filled us in on some of the ghostly history! We stayed in room 4 which over looks the main road. I would say if you are not used to sleeping by a busy road it might be best to ask for a room at the back. This doesn't particularly... More

Me and my girlfriend had recently stayed over for a night celebrating my birthday. We found the hotel easily however, we was a little concerned about the car park as it is only a small open garage that can only fit 4 cars in. So you leave your keys with the management and they move your car if need be... More

We arrived Sunday afternoon and stopped for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived we were looked after so well. Absolute fantastic customer service . Staff work very hard to make you feel welcome. Location is superb. The inn itself is amazing, so deeply steeped in history.Great food and good real ales- what else could you possibly ask for?? We... More

The Kings head is a haunted house the staff very friendly and made sure we were all ok the food was very bland BUT the rooms are definitely of need of refurbishing. I found the bed very uncomfortable we found a postcard in the drawer there was hairs in the wash basin I was very let down on this and... More

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, the food was good. We enjoyed a relaxed evening downstairs before retiring to our room where our daughters did a bit of 'calling out' to the ghosts.......the reason we took our teenage girls. Room 5 definitely had a spooky feel to it. Each... More
