Modern, clean hotel in an lovely old pub, which is right next door to the racecourse and the town centre so no taxi's required. I stayed over last Friday night with my partner and we had a great weekend in Chester. I would book this hotel again.

The hotel is well placed for the centre of the city, close by are some very good restaurants, only major gripe is not the hotels fault and that is the lack of parking. The room we stayed in was very clean, the whole place has just gone through a extensive refurbishment. All staff were friendly and very helpful, we didn't... More

Lovely to visit an old Chester pub that has been returned to its former glory. Very friendly staff. Traditional pub food wonderful and served by really friendly... More

We have just spent a weekend in Wales, and stopped in chester overnight where we stayed at the saddle inn. It is a lovely pub, great location, and the rooms we had was ideal. Great price, double room with loads of room, ensuite, clean, well presented and had great character! Thank you for a lovely friendly stay.

Came here when looking for a pub in Chester and found here! It looks great inside, friendly atmosphere was quiet when first arrived but picked up. Very clean and deco very good. Prices excellent for it being in a city and they served olives when requested. Staff very friendly :) excellent time spent here

We stayed here for one night recently. Staff were friendly and efficient at check in in the pub. The room was a good size, clean and warm, however there was a very strong smell of fresh paint from the windows. Overall we were happy with it but they could easily improve with some little touches, replace the toilet roll holder,... More
