Me and my girlfriend stopped here for one night on Saturday 22/12/2014, and were delighted by the Hotel overall. When we got to the accommodation, there was a separate door for Hotel guests. We had to ring a doorbell which was promptly answered by somebody behind the bar who took our payment and directed us to our room. The room... More

.... wash basin in room 9 (think it was room 9)......... lack of food being served even though when we booked it stated meals were available. Let me explain the wash basin is completely unusable, there is a shelf immediately above the basin which is positioned perfectly so you can't actually get anywhere near it, mentioned it to the staff... Thank you for your feedback about your stay. I will look at the shelf in room 9 it HAS NOT been brought to our attention by any guests staying in that room and it has been very well occupied since we opened in February. However, we will ceratinly see what we can do. With regards to food, the room pack... More

We stayed there for one night on a Friday , the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room no. 4 was large and clean , the bed was very comfy ! The hotel was great as it was only a short walk to the pubs, restaurants and shops . No faults to be found with breakfast, only downside would be... More

Just fancied a " pub grub" lunch and decided on this gem. I have to say the steak and ale pie was sensational so much so the good lady had to wrestle the plate off me as I was about to lick the gravy off. Highly recommend this home cooked food gem and will return again.

I stayed here on a shopping trip with 3 girlfriends. I was a little worried as all 4 of us were in a family room. The bedroom was actually really nice, good size, clean and well decorated. The bathroom did let it down however as it was shabby and needs updating. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was good... More

Positioned within the city walls and ring road make it an ideal base for shopping, eating, culture and nightlife. The Saddle Inn is a local inn with a nice bar area and a good choice of drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a smoking shelter to the rear. It certainly has some character about it unlike... More

After reading some of the very positive reviews on here my friend and I were really looking forward to staying at the Saddle Inn for three nights on our visit to Chester. Unfortunately we were deeply disappointed with our experience. On our arrival on the first evening, we rang the bell at the side door which had a sign "Reception"... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback regarding room 3. We believe your comments are unfounded saying the room was mouldy and smelling of damp. We would NEVER put any guest into a room if it was unfit for purpose. We believe your expectations were not met because you wanted a twin room rather than a... More

I had read that all the bedrooms had had a refurb in 2014 and the bed looked decent but the rest of the room was quite scruffy particularly the bathroom which had a shelf falling off the wall, and very dirty mouldy beading around the bath. The bedding i thought looked clean but discovered it was stained so had to... More

Thank you for giving us your feedback. Our aim is always to provide great hospitality for our guests and falling short is not where we want to be. Firstly, prior to us taking over the building was badly run down, the accommodation was in a dreadful state with many rooms sharing a bathroom so we invested heavily in February in... More

After a hard day's shopping on a day trip to Chester on Black Friday weekend, we needed a drink before our two hour journey home. Good atmosphere, real fire and large Christmas Tree was a most welcoming sight. Bar staff friendly, gave tasters of the three real ales available before buying and comfortable seating. Ideal location for us as it... More

I stayed at the saddle on the 3rd November for my sons graduation and was not disappointed. The room was lovely and big and very quirky with beams and a few corners. I had forgotten my charger and the lovely barman helped me out and found one. I was surprised to see how central the inn was with the centre... More
