Staying at the Chester Stone Villa is like staying with your own family, the atmosphere created by Ian and Betty is warm and very welcoming. My friend and I decided on a girly, relaxing weekend in Chester and this hotel is close to the centre of the city. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I recommend this hotel to... more

Having stayed many times previously at Chester Stone Villa, I was sadly disappointed with my recent stay. To begin, I addressed my reservation inquiry to the previous owner and it was reported that she "was on vacation". Having expected to see her and the other staff members when I arrived, I was taken aback to be told that she was... more

We are sorry that your stay didn't live up to expectation. We would like to advise you however, that the property had been under new ownership from 26th June 2008 with disastrous consequences. We are delighted to say that Betty, Ian & Caroline have now returned to Chester Stone Villa and will resume with their normal high standard of service...

Sayed at the stone villa with my friend, we were in Chester for a few days shopping etc. Location ideal, we left the car in the hotel car park and walked the short distance into chester city centre every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helped with suggestions and directions for places to visit. Breakfast was very good with... more

Stayed here for 6 months during the week, whilst on business in Chester - so I obviously liked it. Spent time in several rooms and I found all of them spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed with tv/dvd, mini-fridge, ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities and safe. Excellent choice of breakfast, which was always delicous and I always found Barry (owner)... more

We booked 5 rooms at this place well in advance of a family wedding, later to find out that it had changed hands, just prior to our arrival. Nonetheless, having spoken to the new proprietor, everything seemed fine! However, on arrival: 1. A member of the party , when asked about disabled parking, had the response "well you don't look... more

Unfortunately we booked a room after we saw Chester Stone Villa in the AA premier collection. It looked wonderful and had the five stars for both the AA and the ETB. Even the little gem award from the RAC which we knew to be incorrect as they no longer are an examinig body. After sending our cheque we read trip... more

We booked this hotel because it looked fab on the web site and boasted 5 stars with the AA and with the RAC. What we experienced was far from 5 star, more like 2 star. The room was small and had no flat screen TV as advertised. In the bathroom, the toiletries were extremely cheap sachets. We were not made... more
