Rooms are due for refurbishment but still very comfortable with excellent staff. On a bus route so I was able to leave the car in the ample car park at travelodge and get to Chester city centre very easily

We stayed in a ground floor room which was very dated and unclean. The room was like a sauna as there was a hot water pipe constantly piping hot. the pipe also made a constant tapping noise which kept us awake. The hotel reception is very unwelcoming and dated. The staff were friendly and helpful but I feel the hotel... More

A very wecoming helpful staff member on reception and a clean, comfortable, warm room led to an excellent nights sleep. Despite being very near the M53 there was no road noise and plenty of space to park.

The hotel is one of the unrefurbished Travelodges and has very tired decor. Security is a bit of an issue as the connecting door from the adjoining Toby Inn is broken, meaning that non-residents can roam the corridors from early until late. However the most concerning aspect was the "customer care". I was shouted at and threatened with eviction for... More

When you 1st pull up it looks like hotel from hell, the windows are in desperate need of an update. Once inside thou it's just like any other Travelodge giving excellent service and value for money. Added bonus is the Toby carvery joined on. Taxi is needed if your going into Chester.

Chose this hotel as we are a big fan of Travelodge and try to book early to get good deals. We need cost effective, clean, basic accommodation. This is ideally situated for visiting Chester as it is on the outskirts but still close enough to travel into the centre of town in a few minutes. Also close to Chester Zoo... More

Situated 2.5 miles outside Chester this is a perfectly situated hotel. A little dated but the bed and bedding were fresh and the towels were nice. The price was very good value and plenty of parking. Takes 5 minutes to get into Chester by car. Overall I would recommend it.

We stayed overnight after traveling 80 miles to attend a concert. We knew that this place is awaiting refurbishment, however this didn't explain/excuse the layers of thick, old dust on some surfaces (some things had been dusted, some not) and the totally unvacuumed carpet (dust round edges as well). However the bed, bath and toilet were clean, which is the... More
