Stayed here recently to go to Chester races, its in a decent location and is about 10 / 15 mins from centre and race course. The hotel itself is in desperate need of a renovation. I know they are cheap and cheerful but I have stayed in a few travelodge and know they can be better, the bed in our... More

.When I went to the room the room was occupied so I went back to the reception area and she said I don't know why there is someone in that room and she said I don't know what we are going to do now as we are fully booked for tonight after she made some phone calls and 30-40min later... More

Major problem with check in as room had been given to someone else. Reception staff eventually sorted it out and the room we got was ok. Beds showing signs of age. Sofa bed not comfy at all for sleeping on. Room was quiet, clean and spacious. Breakfast good in adjoining Toby. Free parking, handy location for zoo and just off... More

Dirty, tired and unwelcoming establishment in dire need of refurbishment. I stayed in room 20 with my 4 year old son. This room is opposite the staff room on the first floor so expect that door banging regularly. There is very little sound proofing so noise from the road, the car park and next door guests (especially when they turn... More

This was the 3rd Travelodge in a week for my wife and I. Sadly its was a poor 3rd of the three. The hotel is lacking any sort of maintenance and needs to be upgraded . There has been no recent decoration internally or externally and the grounds at the rear are full of brambles and weeds. On our 1st... More

This hotel was clean and very good value for money. Travelodge are refurbishing all their hotels but at present this one hasn't been done. The bed in our room, room 11 was too soft and uncomfortable. Hopefully when the refurbishment is done it will be better. The staff were very friendly. When we checked in the room only had enough... More

My husband at I always stop at a travelodge on our travels so we've seen a wide range...great and terrrible. This travelodge is right in the middle. It desoerately needs a refurb and I've seen so many really bad travelodges benefit considerably by something as small as a lick of paint. The location is great for a quick drive into... More

Myself and my husband have stayed here numerous times and in a selection of rooms. We have never had a bad experience, the hotel is ideally located to go and explore lovely chester. There is a bus stop straight outside so you can leave your car and take it easy or we use kings cabs a local taxi company who... More

Stayed for 2 nights as I had treated my husband to The Golf Open final at Hoylake which was only about 30mins away. Booked the first night about 3 months previously online for about £90 and with a week to go we decided to stay for a second night rather then travel home after the golf. Rang their reservations number... More
