Myself and my partner checked in at 9pm ready for an early morning shopping trip the following day. When we arrived the last on the check in desk was helpful however she was the only member of staff on duty. We put our bags in our room & headed down to the hotel's vending machine for some snacks & in... More

I booked for two nights for me and my son to visit the zoo and the aquarium. The hotel was a few minutes drive from each, and was in a great, easy to find location. Our room was clean, beds comfy and we both had a good nights sleep. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a... More

Our rooms (4 for our group of adults and kids) were clean, comfortable, good value for money, spacious, had opening windows for good ventilation and were warm and cosy. Food/drinks are available from the adjacent Toby carvery which was good quality, generous portions and reasonably priced and the bar/lounge/dining area was spacious and comfortable with picnic tables outside and a... My partner & I stayed here for one night as part of a trip to chester. The city of chester us lovely & only a short drive away. We ate in the Toby Carvery & would happily stay again. It is a nice clean hotel & very good value.

Our Daughter was due to go to Chester University Open Day on a Saturday, therefore as we had a 220 mile drive from home approx' 5+ hours away, we decided to travel up the night before to enable us to recover from the long journey & be at the University in the morning fresh. The hotel is very run down,... More

We are truly sorry to learn of your disappointment with your stay with us Susan747. We expect our staff to regularly check the mattresses and, if one is not found to be in a suitable condition then it should be replaced. We are also very sorry to learn that you found your room to be too warm for you. Unfortunately,... More

I only used the Travelodge for one night and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The room was well ventilated, with opening windows. Also despite being beside a road, the room was quiet. The receptionist was efficient and friendly and ordered my taxi into town with no problems. Also, the free parking at this Travelodge is a real... More

It did the job but it is looking tired. Needs new carpets and fresh coat of pain in the rooms and corridors. Disappointed that the third bed in the 'family room' was actually a mattress on the floor - and no pillows! Have to say though that the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Visited for a quiet weekend with my partner. Room was nice, albeit still being cleaned when we arrived. Staff appeared a little overly stressed but friendly enough. Lovely quiet setting and fairly close to the City Centre.

We stayed here to go to the zoo and the location was brilliant, as was the price and the adjoining toby carvery. The room however was definitely not cleaned. There was someones food left in a drawer and someones underwear in the shelves! I am not one to complain as you get what you pay for, but you would expect... More
