Wanted somewhere cheap as did not expect to be in hotel during day. Room much better than I exoected, clean, warm and quiet. Bed very comfortable. No one bothered us, which I like. Very, very good value.

This hotel is dire!!! The place is in dire need of bulldozing and starting again!!! It is so old fashioned I couldn't believe it. Reception staff were very friendly. Bed was comfy enough, it seems to be that the beds are the standard Travelodge beds but the room was dusty and from the 1960's. Old fashioned furniture, fittings and decoration... More

This Travelodge is in a great location for the area. Very close to Chester zoo, which is why we stayed. It has a Toby Carvery next door which is very handy. I have stayed in many travelodges and have always been satisfied with my stay, however I was not with this one! The rooms where dirty and needed hovering, there... More

The staff on reception were friendly.. the room was dated and the carpet needed a good clean ( around the edges). The shower hose was dirty. .but the bed was clean and the room was warm. the location was great and there is a toby carvery next door.. we use travel lodges all over the country and this was the... This travelodge is in such a central location for chester and surronding area .Hotel doesn't look much from outside but it does need a good refurb . Rooms could do with a makeover but are still comfortable and spacious. Car park is spacious. Toby Carvery next door is a plus .

I have been to many Travelodges and have always been impressed with the rooms and value for money, so when arriving at this building I was extremely disappointed. The building looks extremely old and the decoration was very dated, our room had wallpaper coming off the walls, cracked skirting boards and cobwebs on the ceiling. The bed sheet was stained,... Rooms are due for refurbishment but still very comfortable with excellent staff. On a bus route so I was able to leave the car in the ample car park at travelodge and get to Chester city centre very easily

We stayed in a ground floor room which was very dated and unclean. The room was like a sauna as there was a hot water pipe constantly piping hot. the pipe also made a constant tapping noise which kept us awake. The hotel reception is very unwelcoming and dated. The staff were friendly and helpful but I feel the hotel... More

A very wecoming helpful staff member on reception and a clean, comfortable, warm room led to an excellent nights sleep. Despite being very near the M53 there was no road noise and plenty of space to park.
