Chose this hotel as we are a big fan of Travelodge and try to book early to get good deals. We need cost effective, clean, basic accommodation. This is ideally situated for visiting Chester as it is on the outskirts but still close enough to travel into the centre of town in a few minutes. Also close to Chester Zoo... More

Situated 2.5 miles outside Chester this is a perfectly situated hotel. A little dated but the bed and bedding were fresh and the towels were nice. The price was very good value and plenty of parking. Takes 5 minutes to get into Chester by car. Overall I would recommend it.

Stayed for 3 nights, lovely staff, good parking. Travel lodge waiting to be updated but rooms warm and clean Would have liked wi fi to be free at all times, why not nowadays? Breakfast in adjoining Carvery £6.00 including tea or coffee but only fry up available so only had breakfast there once.Only 5 min drive to Cheshire Oaks shopping... More

We stayed overnight after traveling 80 miles to attend a concert. We knew that this place is awaiting refurbishment, however this didn't explain/excuse the layers of thick, old dust on some surfaces (some things had been dusted, some not) and the totally unvacuumed carpet (dust round edges as well). However the bed, bath and toilet were clean, which is the... More

A great value room. The bed was soft but a comfortable sleep. The room was very warm even with the radiator turned off but was fine with the window open. Lovely hot water in the bathroom, clean fluffy towels. Great location for us with the convenient Toby Carvery next door. We would definitely go again!

Stayed at this Travel Lodge which is just off the motorway for 2 nights whilst visiting Chester City with friends. A Toby Inn is attached which was ideal for breakfast and evening meal. Carvery is lovely. Breakfast consists of cooked items eg sausage, bacon, egg etc. No option re cereal, fruit, continental breakfast and drinks are extra. Rooms are clean... More

I was attending a wedding at Chester Zoo, just up the road. I was able to check in incredibly early, which allowed plenty of time to help set the wedding up. Bed was comfortable, TV worked great (though the LED standby light was VERY bright), shower was hot and powerful, staff friendly, and generally a pleasant stay. Negatives are that... More

A good value deal even with the £40 it cost us for the dogs. Convenient site with carvery facilities next door for basic food. A problem with the original room was resolved quickly and without fuss and we were offered an alternative. Beds were comfortable and the tv was upgraded. I resent having to pay for wifi which should be... More
