Easy to find and plenty of free parking. Check in was easy, effortless and within 10mins we were within our room. The room was just of adequate size for 2 adults and 2 young children, clean but the shower could have been better and the double bed a bit bigger! Breakfast is plentiful with something for everyone and as much... More

Lovely place with helpful staff. Comfy rooms with fluffy towels, squishy quilts & pillows. No complaints on that front. Didn't use the spa, so can't comment. The running commentary on the video was a tad annoying. Excellent meal in the hotel on the Saturday evening. The bar was lively, with reasonable prices. Wasn't taken with the location. Our room was... More

Returning to Chester was pleasant and finding a nice hotel very near the city centre but out of the bustle was a nice surprise. Situated, literally over a canal with clean pleasant rooms, a fitness suite and swimming pool and a restaurant plus free parking, this was a good experience helped by the helpful staff and enjoyable breakfast. It stays... More

A weekend in Chester. Convenient location with secure free parking. A busy bar we didn't dine there. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of staff and all very polite. A good place to sample Chester for the first time. A five minute walk along the canal and you are within the city walls.

Stayed three nights in this lovely converted mill. The rooms are lovely, warm and cosy and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and customer service is very important to them. The food is very good, especially breakfast, lovely smoked haddock and the fried eggs were all lightly cooked - a very rare skill in most hotels! The pool... More

Arriving at the hotel on a Saturday morning ready to board the lunch cruiser. Waiting in the bar area where we got shown the menus and asked what we would like to eat and drink. We then boarded the cruiser for our 4 coarse lunch. The food was absolutely delicious and the whole afternoon was absolutely relaxing. We got treated... More

A very good location for anyone visiting Chester with just a short walk into town. We arrived around 4.30pm and got the last space on the large car park, not sure vwhat anyone arriving after us would have done. Our room was nice and clean. The only down side was the lack of choice at breakfast. I didnt fancy a... More

City break planned with friends over from Australia unfortunately co-incided with my daughter having her leg in plaster. Ronnie on Reception made it her mission to ensure that we had the best choice of wheel chair access room by showing us three options. Sensational experience from the time we arrived, treated like royalty. Access to city from the hotel very... More

Popular hotel in good location. Five minutes to town, interesting walk along towpath in other direction. Stayed in room overlooking car park - bit noisy on a Saturday night. Rooms nicely furnished and clean but quite hot, you need to keep your window open. Some of the rooms have original metal columns in them, quite quirky ! Outside the Front... More
