We went for a weekend with freinds, the weather was hot, the hotel has no A/C the rooms and public areas were like a Sauna. The hotel overlooks a dirty canal and is surrounded by 1960 Concrete buildings, our bedroom overlooked a busy dual carrigeway, therefore it was not possible to keep the window open. We managed to secure a... more

We went to this hotel following great reviews for a girlie spa break. We arrived to find old decor, dirty rooms and unpleasant staff. Amongst a long list of things one of the beds was dirty, the toilet was broken, anything that was crome was rusty and the TV didn't work. The second room we were moved to was only... more

My wife and I spent 1 night at The Mill Hotel in Chester and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is easily accessed and the main part of town is a 5 minute walk. Very clean, excellent staff would highly recommend for a visit to Chester. The town itself is very nice and worth a visit. more

Had a weekend away at this hotel recently. On arrival at 12o'clock we were allowed to check into our room straight away which was nice. The room - a Premier - was lovely with a balcony and whirlpool bath. After a look round - it is a bit of a maze we went down to the bar for a drink... more

Me and my daughter went for a spa break Sunday night until Monday. The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the centre of Chester. We were upgraded to a premier room which has a balcony and a jaccuzi bath. Dinner was included in the price and was top class. The... more

The hotel is situated within walking distance of the town centre and easy to find when driving as there are plenty of direction signs. Car parking wasn't a problem. Walking thru the bar to the lift/stairs was a bit disconcerting, but apart from that, everything was excellent.. Comfortable, spacious bedroom; pleasant staff; enjoyable breakfast. We made use of the pool/steam... more

Large hotel complex overlooking canal and close to the City Centre. Dinner very good value as part of package. Felt slightly too many waiters hovering especially when restaurant became busy. Some parts of the older building . especially corridors, could do with some refurbishment and the lift is definitely in the wrong place for guests - through the public bar.... more

The Mill Hotel is a nice place to stay in Chester. Originally a mill converted into a hotel, this very old hotel offers a beautiful view of the Chester canal when walking on the hotel bridge across the canal. The hotel has a nice bar which is always a lively place to be as it only gets younger as the... more
