Even though we had a refurbished larger room with a sofa, the quality of furnishings and linens are still poor. Worse still, no aircon and not even a fan which meant a bloody hot nite with very little sleep. Breakfast is just a mound of poor quality buffet food, but the pool is very clean and without that there is... More

We were a little disappointed but then it is a three star hotel. Location is good for Chester shops and there was ample parking. Reception processed us but didn't welcome us or show us to the room which was a bit of a trek up stairs (or lift) along a corridor and up stairs (or lift) again. We weren't told... More

Once again we were made very welcome by the reception staff. We went for a swim in the pool and enjoyed the steam room and sauna before going into the bar for lunch. The sandwiches we had were delicious and very well presented. Our room was massive with such a comfy bed. We stayed for two nights bed and breakfast... More

Booked at short notice hotel delivers with carpark, great canal side location, nice rooms and friendly staff. As we were visiting friends we couldn't dine this visit but the menulooked good and the choice of restaurants in the hotel and on the canalboat were an attraction we will take up next time. Breakfast was excellent very good both hot and... More

Stayed at this hotel for a 2 day break as a treat for my birthday. Hotel was lovely with free parking which is a bonus for Chester. Rooms are lovely and clean with great soft fluffy towels, not always found in all hotels! Only gripe no shower cap and very few toiletries in the room. We had a business class... More

I've just stayed at this hotel coming to Chester on business. The hotel is centrally located but a little dated, the room was dark and not very cheery with few facilities. For a spa hotel you would expect a few things in the bathroom, there's not even a bar of soap! It was also very hot with no air conditioning... More

Recently stayed at the mill with my boyfriend. The location of the hotel is excellent and just a short walk to the centre of Chester. Another bonus is the breakfast, all was hot and tasty. Overall a good experience with no faults to speak of. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with my daughter and some friends. The hotel is really well located in a nice spot by the canal. Whilst the decoration is a little ragged around the edges in parts, the hotel staff (especially Jane and Ronnie) could not be more friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast and all round good stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We've just returned from this hotel after choosing to stay here for The Open. All the staff were polite and courteous, room was immaculate and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Stayed at the DeVere Slaley Hall last year and it was much better than that. Pool and spa facilities were also great as an extra... More
