Have now stayed in Chester on 3 occasions, with Mitchell's standing out as by far the best accommodation. We had a weekend away with friends staying in two of the top floor rooms which were well presented and quiet. The owners were extremely pleasant and friendly, and a very nice breakfast. Good location with a 15 minute walk into Chester... More

Fantastic weekend. In our opinion, the best Guesthouse in Chester! You couldn't ask for a better service anywhere - the food, amenities and facilities are all first class and cannot be faulted in any way. Thank you to all the staff for their kind and professional hospitality.

We stayed at Mitchells for 2 nights and had a fantastic break.. From the tea and coffee on our arrival and the very informative guide to Chester and where to visit from Helen, the whole stay was superb. We booked the Super King room which overlooked the garden which was excellent - plenty of room, very comfortable bed, excellent facilities... More

The Guest House is among a Victorian development of enormous properties. Colin and Helen are very welcoming,The establishment is warm and immaculate. A full breakfast is served at a table with linen napkins and in a dining room lit by a large glistening candelabra.Wonderful! Chester is an old vibrant city where one can go back two thousand years and walk... More

Thank you for your comments. The staircases to the second floor (level 3) in Victorian houses are invariably narrower and steeper than the main stair, and this is reflected in the tariffs for the two floors. More

Stayed here with 2 colleagues, we had the whole top floor. The owners were very helpful and informative about the accommodation and local area. A nice walk into town down and a very well presented house which the owners clearly take pride in. Breakfast earlier would have suited us but owners laid on a continental breakfast delivered to our room.... More

Thank you for your scoring and your understanding comments. Being a small Guest House, working 16/7, we find it exhausting and stressful to comply with requests for very early breakfasts, and we are grateful to those who will accept a varied and comprehensive breakfast tray. More
