We love to go to this great little traditional pub whenever we are in this area. Chester has a varied and eclectic mix of wonderful pub's,but this is in my opinion one of the best. We were here recently and popped in for a nice real ale,the pub was busy but not packed, just a nice crowd. We settled on a... More

Well worth a break from a City Walls tour to pop into the Albion to have a wee refreshment pint. Right at the end of a terraced row of houses like pubs used to be years ago. Lovely experience. If your not sure what you fancy the licensee will assist you with a fine selection of Real Ales.

This is a very traditional pub tucked away from the main thoroughfares in Chester. Its over 30 years since I last visited, and its hardly changed!. But in good ways. There is no telly, or jukebox/sound system. The beer is superbly kept, and there are no yobs or pretentious types in here. Beer I've mentioned, but don't miss trying the... More

If you like a real pub, with real ale, without piped music, hooligans, and other people's children running around uncontrolled this is the place for you. The food is good and the welcome warm. You could spend half a day simply wondering around the pub looking at the 'stuff' on the walls (and enjoying the beer!) If you think this... More

Took an American friend who was over on business. Yes it pretended to have all the things we love as memories but the atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Bar staff seem to have little enthusiasm. It could be so much better but sadly it seems locked in an uninviting time warp.

his pub, in its day, was great, sing songs round the piano was how weekends went some years ago. Now the piano is chained up. Groups of men, women, can't get in. I fact anyone that looks like too much fun is barred. It is a quaint pub, great location, but the landlord being one miserable fellow has slowly ruined... More

We called into this fab little pub on a recent day trip to Chester. We must have passed this place many times on our several walks around the walls over the years, but never really noticed it. What appealed when we passed was the references to WW1. The pub is a delight, and probably hasn't changed much since Victorian times......a... More

I've visited the Albion in Park Street over the past years. Once inside you are taken back a hundred years ago: through the photographs on the walls of soldiers, munition factory workers, old shop signs and even flying ducks on the wall in the Ladies. Recently we sojourned to this quaint pub: which warned us before we went inside that... More

We stayed here last weekend for 2 nights and we loved every minute, the landlady couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was spotless with a lovely comfy bed. We had a meal on the Saturday night and it was beautiful, good, honest home cooked food, which is very rare in this day and age. We will definitely... More

Stayhed here for 2 nights in May and absolutely loved it! Loved the pub with all the memorabilia, and the beer was pretty good too! The room was lovely, really clean and a very comfy bed. Stayed for dinner 1 night and it was absolutely delicious - makes a change to have a nice home cooked meal, and the complimentary... More
