What a great place! Stayed for 2 nights last week and it could not have been better. The wife is always wary of pub b&b but this is a real exception. Detailed attention to comfort and cleanliness, a great breakfast and a wide menu (no chips but many traditional dishes) for the evening meal if you want it. Ideal location... More

A handy location inside the wall with easy parking. Only 2 comfortable rooms. A great collection of wartime memorabilia which hostess Christina will proudly describe the history and origins of individual pieces if you show interest.

The Albion was a find, as it was on the end of a residential street. Inside we found a warm welcome. It's an old fashioned pub with a friendly atmosphere. Well recommended. Make an effort to look for this one and you won't be disappointed.

We visited the Albion on the recommendation from Recorder house where we were staying. And were pre warned that the landlord was prone to grumpiness ! The pub it's self is set on the corner of a row of terrace houses and could easily be missed . We visited the pub on the Saturday afternoon for a few drinks and... More

Booked and arrived on time, a nice table reserved for 4 of us in the snug. A gem of a pub, a unique and refreshing change from all the chains. Food lovely and fairly priced with a good selection of beers

I so wanted to like this place. The bar is lovely and the menu makes a welcome change from the same old choices you seem to get everywhere else, however, the service was weirdly quite unfriendly. The food was very much hit and miss and could just do with a bit more attention to detail, the pub is themed around... More

This is a wonderful little pub that never seems to change. It is friendly and full of memorabilia from times past. The food is good and honest no chips! but try the liver and mash very yummy. The interior is slightly shabby but that just adds to the atmosphere. If you want a modern slick pub don't go but if... More

A nice little pub to get away from all of the mass produced rubbish on the high street. Good honest food, good beer, good atmosphere. It's a real gem. The problem is its too expensive but that's the price to pay for authenticity these days. Small but well run. Who ever recommended the cross keys over this little pub is... More
