We stayed at the Cheshire Cat for one night on our way through England to catch a ferry at Dover. We had just arrived having travelled eight hours on the ferry from Belfast and needless to say we were all a bit frazzled especially considering we were travelling with an eleven month old baby. The reception and hospitality we received... more
Me and my other half stopped here for one night over the easter bank holiday. The hotel is ideally located being only a 10 minute drive from the city centre of Chester and a 5/10 minute drive to Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet. There is a park and ride within walking distance of the hotel (5/10 mins walk) that can take... more
stayed here a number of times. Position is good. Food excellent and accomodation is value for money. Rooms all decorated traditionally. Lovely walk into Christlton village along the canal and nice to sit out and have a meal and drink in the summer. Will be going for many years to come more

We have recently moved out of Chester a couple of months ago, but use to visit the Cheshire Cat regularly. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. A great place just a short car ride out of the main shopping centre of Chester.. The food was excellent....the room was a nice enough size, especially for the price, and had everything we needed, tea coffee hairdryer etc.. Would stay there again more
This is what looks like a pub with farm cottages out the back. We only ate there so I cant comment on the rooms other than to say if they are as good as the food you wont be disappointed. Lots of flowers hanging in the garden, barges moored alongside on the canal, really nice atmosphere. Intend to stay there... more
