We decided to have a last minute break away to visit Chester, and wanted to find a place to stay that was 'out of town'. Looking at the reviews on tripadvisor, we picked out Cotton Farm and it was everything we had hoped for. To sum it up in a nutshell, if you are looking for a peaceful tranquil retreat,... More

We found this B&B by accident (as another cottage we had originally booked into the owner was out to tea and forgotten about our arrival - no more about that). We stumbled down cotton lane following the B&B signs on the trees and thank our lucky stars that the other venue messed up. We were immediately welcomed and settled into... More

My wife and I have just got back from a short (4 day) break visiting Chester and birdwatching on the Dee Estuary. Our stay at Cotton Farm was an absolute delight. It is located down a very quiet lane surrounded by pastures, yet is just 2 or 3 miles from an excellent Park and Ride system for Chester and close... More

A beautiful house traditionally and thoughtfully furnished. The rooms are huge - I'm sure the bedroom and bathroom were bigger than our flat! Plenty of storage space for clothes, you could definitely stay here for much more than a weekend. My only complaint was the shower it was too low for me and I'm only 5ft 8, it wasn't that... More

This was great two night break staying in the middle of the country close to the city to enjoy both owrlds. The Hills were extremely welcoming and it felt like staying with friends. The farmhouse is the ideal of a farmhouse with space and comfort. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with tv and radio with very spacious ensuite. The bed... More

We recently had a two night stay at Cotton Farm and will certainly visit again when in the area. Blissfully peaceful, beautiful room and bathroom - excellent breakfast with a really good choice. We were looked after really well and did not wish to move on when the time came. This is certainly a lovely place to stay and I... More

What a wonderful setting and welcome. Plenty of great walks in the area - just try not to get lost like I did. Fabulous full breakfast. Would definitely recommend this gorgeous B&B. More

There were a lot of good things about this b&b. During our stay, we enjoyed a 'tour' of new born lambs. The bedroom and ensuite rooms were very large and comfortable. It was like having 2 rooms to ourselves. The rocking chair by the bathtub was a nice touch. Although they had a dog, we were assured that no dogs... More

We had a big, comfortable room, with a big bathroom. The farmhouse has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Detailed local formation on cycling, walking and other local amenities were provided. Breakfast was proper home-cooked fare, including freshly-made bread, croissants and orange juice, with, as pre-arranged, non-dairy milk and vegan sausages. More

We stayed at Cotton Farm in mid July 2008 and found it to be a particularly pleasant experience. We were greeted courteously upon our arrival then shown to our room, which was laid out to a high standard with all the amenities you would expect. As previous reviews have stated, this is still a working farm which only adds to... More
