I tried to book two rooms at the Gateway to Wales because my daughter was entered into an ice skating competition at Deside ice rink. After entering all of my data for the stay I found I could not book two rooms at once and the system shot me back to the original screen. I tried again and just booked... more

When we arrived we were told that the returant had finished service for the day & the 24 hour room service wasnt in operation either, so we had to drive 10 mins into chester for a pizzahut !! The room & bathroom was very clean & they have done well with the refurbishment, but could have put air-con in the... more

Stayed for one night with husband and parents. modern, bright and clean hotel. staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the back of the hotel my parents were on the front which overlooked the busy A road so they were disturbed a lot from the traffic noise, although we all thought the hotel itself was great the... more

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay only. The room was clean and pleasant but a bit too warm. Opening the window solved that for me. My friends were unfortunate to have a room facing the busy road so the noise prevented that, they had to endure a stuffy room. Never did find the tea and coffee things. more

Stayed at Gateway To Wales for 1 night – booked via LateRooms at £55 for room only. Hotel is just off the motorway so could be a little noisy for some. Staff were very friendly and helpful – although check in was 2pm we arrived at 10am with the aim of just leaving the car (free parking) but the room... more

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past whilst dining at the excellent Amantola Indian Restaurant nearby. We were very pleasantly surprised to see how much the hotel has changed since our last stay. All the rooms and reception/dining area have been extensively modernised. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable although rather hot,... more

Stayed here for one night as a base for night out in Chester Room was clean, tidy and functional - exactly what I would hope for £50.00 a night! Staff were friendly and helpful Corridors did smell like a hospital which was strange You have full use of the leisure facilities whilst staying there - smallish pool, jacuzzi, steam room,... more
