We came with our baby son, so had bags and a buggy, was not offered any help up the stairs and there was no lift, not a good start. We had breakfast delivered to the room one morning, which was about £30 for two people, and the toast and coffee were freezing cold, definitely not worth the money. The swimming... more

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, 23rd and 24th Oct 2009 (Friday and Saturday). Wedding on both days, but as we were away from the function room and bar area we heard no noise when in our room. The shower worked, but it was scalding hot and could not be adjusted and member of staff... more

I recently attended a conference at this hotel. I also booked accommodation and I was really impressed, when I checked the lovely lady on the desk had upgraded me to an executive suit. All staff where helpful and efficient, always with a smile on their face. I stayed in a room called Holly and it was beautiful and decorated in... more

We have stayed here once before last year and enjoyed it so much we came back for a second time for a couple of nights. For only £50 per night including breakfast for two people I felt it was decent value. This time we stayed in a "normal" double which was ok, it wasnt the newest of rooms and could... more

Lovely grounds, charming hotel- staff seemed not so helpful tho the one on check in did try hard. Food from the bar snacks menu was of a high standard and freshly made. NIght function was on when we arrived but we were informed that it would quieten down at midnight, which the music did stop but the party carried on... more

On arrival at the hotel we ordered a drink from the bar as we were not getting picked up by mini bus to our friends wedding for half an hour, the receptionist took our order and we sat outside with other members of our party, after approx ten minutes we went to see what had happened. We were assured our... more

Whilst the hotel is set in beautiful grounds and has extensive facilities my recent trip there was marred by unfriendly and incompetent staff who had little idea how to work credit card technology, their own computers, wifi and blantantly lied about dinner reservations. Not to be recommended. more

Had a very nice two night break, the hotel is situated just a few miles from Chester great for visiting the city, our room was nice and spacious but a little tired around the edges on the decor side of things, also the carpet needed replacing, but the room was clean, leisure facilities were good. we did not eat in... more

I went with my husband for an easter two nite getaway on a DBB basis and we had a smashing weekend. The hotel is in a great position and has a lovely garden and patio area, very quiet and peaceful. Our room was a little on the small side but nicely decorated and clean. The shower was rather pathetic but... more
