We visited this hotel for the past few years and every single time we just felt so relaxed here. It is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff and delicious food in the restaurant and bar. The leisure facilities are second to none and treatments reasonably priced. We always come here on special occasions to give ourselves a little treat,... More

Visited here before for drinks but also visited recently for an all day wedding and evening reception. Great beautiful setting, lovely reception, food and service excellent. Also visited the pub/bar and it was very rustic, cosy, inviting and busy with a nice feel to it. Will visit again for other occasions

Stayed for 2 nights and I have to say it was one of the best mini breaks I've ever experienced. The food was amazing with great service ontop, the room we stayed in was a little querky but that's to be expected considering it was an old country style retreat. Perfect location with views to die for, hotel very quiet... More

This hotel is essentially an old pub with lots of later additions, making for quite a disjointed layout. On arrival we entered the pub and from the main car park this seemed the best route to the hotel reception. The bar is expensive, with a normal packet of salted crisps costing £1.50. Our deluxe room had a lovely view of... More

My family much enjoyed a recent (brief) stay here on a Sunday night. We received a warm welcome from the friendly reception staff. The rooms (ours were labelled executives) were beautifully appointed and well equipped. In particular the bathrooms were spotless and had a nice Villeroy & Bosch wash basin. The toiletries were from the eponymous Spa and towels were... More

Lovely hotel with good facilities. There are lovely gardens and lots of different spots inside and out for sitting with a book.We liked being able to have a pub style meal one evening and more formal evening at Ciro's Brassiere. The food was excellent in both. Portions are also rather large. The pool is excellent, a good way to start... More

Looking at the hotel, it's a bit of a patchwork of new and dated, fortunately we booked a superior room and it was very nice. Not sure about the sunken rugs (trip hazards...my good lady did actually stack it in just a towel lol) but huge bath, walk-in shower, massive bed and a great av system coupled with lovely furnishing,... only stayed the one night, wish it had been longer though. Had dinner in the excellent Ciro’s Brasserie for a fantastic meal. Service throughout was excellent, Cant remember her name but the girl on reception on the afternoon of the 2nd October was fantastic, maybe the best "check in" I have encountered, and no the free upgrade didn't make my... Recently visited for a family members wedding, the grounds were lovely for photographs and the rain didn't dampen it. Food for the reception was lovely, really tasty and the chocolate cake with white chocolate sauce and ice cream was delicious, also a nice touch to have fudge with coffee and tea. Only downside was the price of drinks at the... More

We stayed here recently for 2 nights, food was amazing! Breakfast was buffet style and was so fresh :) staff very helpful and such a nice location. Only downfall was the noise in our room (superior deluxe) drilling and hammering up until midnight although reception explained it was emergency maintenance work it was very annoying!! Hoped for a small refund... More
