We had got married down the road and this was booked as a present for us from my wifes friends. We obviously didn't check in til 1am time and this went smoothly. The friends had left champagne in the room which reception told us was waiting but they had forgotten to take the ice bucket to the room. This was... more

Just returned from a weekend in Chester which we thoroughly enjoyed. We booked the Ramada Hotel in March with good old Tesco clubcard vouchers, we had originally wanted to stay at the MacDonald Blossom Hotel in the centre but they didn't take the Tesco vouchers. It cost us £181 for 2 nights including breakfast. We had read the mixed reviews... more

This hotel was booked by a friend for a girlie break. When I read the reviews i was dreading my stay - but found the hotel to be fine. Yes the rooms are warm and the walls thin- the noise did prove for a interupted sleep- but I am a light sleeper and would nt be put off. The front... more

This was our anniversary weekend and booked this Hotel for 2 nights with good old Tesco vouchers. Not being tight honest as we have only just got back form Cuba. No air-con!!The room was so warm we did not need to go to the sauna. From, the room above us all we could hear was the creak of the floorboards... more

I booked on my credit card, (two weeks in advance) 5 double rooms for one night (9/5/09) as it was my 50th birthday and i was having a close family party. I was`assured that the details of my booking would be put in the post...not...had to ring up and ask for them to be sent a week later. I was... more

I get a kick out of reviews that show magnified pictures of offending dirt or cracks. Our room seemed clean enough to me and we were there for three nights. The evening meals were very good but pricy, as hotel restaurants seem to be. The breakfast buffet was part of the room cost and was comparable to the other three... more

Our overall experience at this hotel was very poor indeed and I base that on the price we payed. It cost us £120 for one night. The staff and service were fine but the room we had was VERY small, the chair was broken and the noise from other rooms and the corridor was terrible. The room felt clean enough... more

I found the staff to be helpful, the food was great. The leisure facilities were good. Situated on a fairly busy road and noise from the A55 can be heard when outside. I found the access to the grounds wasnt easy to find. The walk to the canal was across the busy road. Overall enjoyable stay. more

The hotel staff was very helpful and polite, we enjoyed the food alot as it was freshly prepared and to a very high standard. the leisure centre could be a bit bigger but it will do for a small group. my husband and i completely enjoyed our stay and we will definately return. more
