Me and a group of four friends took a quick over night break in Chester. During which we stayed In one of the bunkhouse's dorm rooms, which we had to ourselves. The layout of the bunkhouse is a personal favourite of the hostels I've stayed in around the UK. It's a small, personal cosy space and very much feels like... More

Nice as we arrived but we were hit by a stench and felt like the whole place was mouldy and damp this is probably the reason why it smelt like feet the whole time. To say this is a budget hostel we paid £44 for a room for one night for just two of us when hotels start at around... More

Hi, thought I would respond to your review. Dealing with the price first. Yes, it does say £18 on the side of the building. However, this is per person and is our weekday price for a bed in a shared room. We charge £22 per person on the weekend. I'm not sure you will find a hotel room for £50... More

First of all, my partner was arrived pretty earlier than he was on the 15th September 2015, approximately arrived around 5am, and the owner wasn't allow him to enter the room not before 10am, while he has to wait another hours outside of the hotel and not let his in with sort of arrogance, I don't think its fair for... I'm not sure which guest you are that stayed at the Bunkroom. However, to expect a room at 5am is strange. Should I remove people from their room so that you can sleep in it? That is rather arrogant of you don't you think? Please give everyone on Tripadvisor the names of the hotels where it is possible to check-in... More

stayed 1 night in a Double room / shared bathroom. spotlessly clean, a comfortable bed, and a lovely chill out area in the backyard. walking distance to town, cheap parking across the road, and a great bar just along the street. Graham the manager was lovely and v helpful throughout. a really nice option if you want something a little... More

The host (Graham) was soooo kind and friendly, he always didn't forget to ask me how my travel and journey was and that did make me feel way better as I was travelling by myself. The location's not bad, as Chester is not a big but walkable sized city, it was def easy to find if you're coming from the... More

Good location, close to train station and city centre. Friendly staff. Kitchen well equipped. However, carpet had definitely not been hoovered in the room I stayed in. What is more, there is only one bathroom shared between few rooms, no separate toilets, so if it's busy, you might need to wait.

Was looking for some cheap accommodation for a couple of nights for my daughter and I and found this by chance on the Internet. Small, clean and friendly independent backpackers hostel round the corner from the railway station and a short walk into town. Arrived before check in time but was able to leave bag in reception whilst we went... More
