My wife and I stayed here on 16th August ready for a big day at the races. We were instantly greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to our room where we left our stuff well before the normal check in time. The room was beautiful! Lovely little decorations, interesting tiny windows, fresh flowers and spotlessly clean everywhere.... More

My family and I love driving out to the Pheasant Inn for lunch on a summer's day. It's worth the drive from the Wirral as The Pheasant Inn provides the excellent food and service. The menu is varied and the food is always excellent. Staff are attentive and courteous. Dogs are allowed also :-) A selection of fine ales is... More

Go for a drink and enjoy the fabulous views. Have a meal - not bad at all. Stay in the rooms BUT .....don't take the room next to the smoking terrace. It's the one under Hawarden. Listening to a group of lads chat after their fourth pint whilst trying to get some sleep - not great. The WiFi doesn't work... More

Last weekend we stayed in the Bear's Paw in Warmingham which is in the same small group of Hotels (Nelson Group) as the Pheasant Inn so we were looking forward to comparing both. The location is remote but the journey so worthwhile when the views from the terrace are taken in and appreciated. On a beautiful summer's day there can... More

The title says it all but to elaborate.... The pub/restaurant/hotel is a great pub in a fantastic location just off the Sandstone trail, with enviable far reaching views west over the Cheshire gap plain. a perfect lace to have a drink and drink in the view (sorry). In this respect the best by far! Booked food a few time and... More

We recently went along to The Pheasant Inn for Sunday lunch and were very impressed with the menu choice and the quality of the food! I had a couple of the pub nibbles as a starter - Pork Crackling with Apple Sauce and Scotch Egg - the crackling came in a lovely little jar with the apple sauce at the... More

We stopped in for a pint during our travels with friends from the UK. A perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the view which alone was worth the trip. Unfortunately we had to keep it to beer only since we weren't hungry. Wish time had allowed us to return. Next time!

The Pheasant is my favourite place to go on a sunny evening with the dog to have a drink in a beautiful setting. The food is good too. Try the scotch egg! It's the perfect place to go with your family or friends and we go regularly and it has never ever disappointed.

We stayed here for one night as a birthday treat, and we had a great night. As the pub is dog friendly we took ours and enjoyed a lovely walk through the forest and along part of the Sandstone Trail. We had booked a table for 8pm and received a great welcome and the table which had been reserved was... More
