We found a well appointed hotel with friendly professional staff. The bedroom was excellent and everything was in first class working order. The shower was one of the best we have encountered on our many travels around the country.Obviously everybody has different views regarding decor at any hotel but who cares as long as your stay is enjoyable. We shall... more

Had 2 rooms for 1 night. Rooms 5&6. The floorboards were VERY NOISY in both rooms and in the rooms above. Window was out into a small almost covered yard. The bed was also very creaky ( headboard needed screwing in tight). Location is excellent, as was the breakfast. Am going back to Chester in September for 2 nights, but... more

Me and my husband have just arrived back from a stay at the Westminster and it was absolutely wonderful. My husband had booked it as a surprise for our wedding anniversary and when he mentioned this to the desk they immediately upgraded our room to an executive suite at no extra cost. When we arrived, we were greeted by very... more

Fancied a night away so went online and found a deal on expedia for £65. Easy to find, located just by the train station, with a free bus into town or 10mins walk. No free parking. Reception and common areas of the hotel are smart and do not reflect the room (104) we stayed in, that looked nothing like the... more

We have just returned from a four day stay at the Westminster. We found it great value for money with a friendly and professional staff ensuring a great holiday break. The room was excellent and we would certainly book again in the future. Highly recommended and very handy if you travel by train. Car parking was across the road in... more

My boyfriend and me have just returned from a 4 day break in chester and stayed in the westminster hotel where we had a fab time! I was a bit dubious about what to expect after reading some of the reviews on here but i can honestly say that there was nothing at all to complain about! On arrival we... more

The only good points about the hotel are the location and breakfast. The room showed signs of damp and smelled it too. Bathroom was old fashioned and the zip link beds were uncomfortable. To top it off, when we checked out, they failed to validate the parking ticket properly. I normally forgive hotels which are average but good value, here... more

first of all the good things about the hotel - central, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast... what I REALLY didn't like was the room! It was actually the smallest twin room I've ever attempted to inhabit. My friend and I had to take turns moving around the room, and if it wasn't our turn, we sat on the bed! It... more

Me and the boy fancied a trip to Chester Zoo and decided to stay over the night as we were celebrating our 5 month anniversary (!) and stumbled upon an online deal at the Best Western Westminster which included Zoo tickets. Booked up as the deal was pretty good. On arriving at the station which found the hotel in about... more

I stayed in this hotel for my 21st birthday with a few of my friends, upon arrival we went to check our 2 rooms, as one of the rooms were a lot better than the other we asked why and asked to change rooms as we had all paid the same price. However there were no rooms available, the next... more
