Stayed at this hotel August 30th, not impressed at all, this is a very tired hotel, drab decor, rooms badly lit and not very modern, TV didn't work but didn't complain because we had a very busy schedule, The buffet breakfast was very good and the staff were excellent and very friendly, Don't know how Best Western can put there... Picked for its proximity to Chester Railway Station - the BestWestern Westminster Hotel was just the job and the price was very fair. Staff were friendly and helpful . Reception, corridors and room were fine for the cost. Would I stay again? Absolutely - price and location were perfect for my needs.

This hotel is in a great location just outside the railway station on the main route into Chester city centre, which is ten minutes walk away. The room was clean and good value. Just as advertised. The facilities were good with a bar and restaurant. Thanks.

We accidentally booked this hotel, and we was supposed to book the one across the road 'best western premier queen hotel'. We parked in the premier queen hotel car park and walked into reception and they told us we had actually booked at the westminster hotel. So we went across the road and checked in there, a much smaller hotel... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night on the way back to South Wales from the Lake District as I am regular visitor to Chester with work. We were given room 205 on arrival, which proved to be our downfall. The room was dark and dingy with tired décor. Twin beds had been pushed together to make a... More

I stayed in this hotel last weekend but was very worried about my visit when reading recent reviews they were so bad. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to the room 212 it was nicely decorated with very comfortable beds, towels were fluffy white and the bathroom was sparkling. Maybe I was lucky and was given a... More

The location is good for the station and city centre. We visited when the Open golf was on at Hoylake so the cost was extremely high. The hotel can best be described as very tired. The bathroom was tiny. Our room was on the front and it had no double glazing, so the sound of traffic and revellers was horrendous.... More

This hotel is a lovely old building and some part of it need refreshing but on the whole the hotel was very nice. Our room 101 was at the back and very dark - we had to have the lights on even on a bright sunny day. The room overlooked rooftops and another high story building. Saying that though, the... More
