Several times during last year and early this year, myself and work friends have stayed here. we had meeting rooms booked a lot of the time too. Firstly, the older rooms do need updating a little, but are still clean and comfortable enough. however, if you can book a room in the new "kings rooms" section, things really take off.these... more

We stayed here for two nights. We had just paid for a standard room which was in queens quarter, but it still cost £75 per night for B&B. The room was in need of a refurb, dusty and dated decor and in need of a lick of paint in areas. We were kept awake the first night be doors banging... more

We got a good deal for this hotel on lastminute.com and stayed for one night. From the reception desk to the bar staff, the service was lovely. Our room was in the refurbished King's Quarters and it was everything you'd expect from a 4* hotel. We had a lovely informal meal in the bar. It's an easy walk into town... more

We stayed for three nights - three brothers and their wives. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was busy with conferences and weddings. From the outset the staff were friendly and helpful and top prize goes to the concierge who went out of his way to be helpful, suggesting routes into the city and good places to... more

We booked two rooms with late rooms .com. We arived first and were shown to our room the price we paid was £74 pounds. According to the website it should have been £200 pounds. The room was NOT the standard of room displayed on the web site!! Our friends arrived later than us and were complimentary upgraded to a room... more

The hotel is conveniently situated just opposite the station but within easy walking distance or free bus ride to the city centre. It's like staying in a stately home with plush carpets, portraits and over-the-top statues. Thanks to the London tube strike did not get to the hotel until after ten at night, but was greeted very warmly and at... more

Stayed a night at the Queen on business. This looks and feels very much what it is - a Victorian station hotel that has been well maintained and upgraded. Reception rooms are large and impressive and foyer welcoming. Nice staff on reception desk. Room was reasonably well furnished, with good quality toiletries in bathroom. Good parking to rear, at a... more

The Queen Hotel Chester was really much better than expected. We stayed in the new build at the rear and our so called King's Suite was large and clean. But we had paid for a suite and in my experience a "Suite of rooms" is just that - either a couple of rooms or an extended room with a sitting... more

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and both were brilliant. The most recent stay we were in the new kings quarter, which were finished to a high standard. Big rooms and creatively decorated. Breakfast very good, a large choice of hot or cold items. They have extended the car park, but still on the weekends,... more
