Lovely Victorian hotel, which is a real joy to stay in. Bags of character and very friendly and professional staff. We stopped in executive room which was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. We had an offer through travel zoo, which made it a £1.00 cheaper to have an evening meal and a free drink each included on the Friday... More

This hotel is superbly situated opposite the railway station, and in the centre of this historic town. I was fortunate to be booked into the Queen Elizabeth Room, well furnished and appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom very clean and well provided. The conference facilities are excellent and the food was well presented, hot and delicious. The staff cannot... More

We live and work in a Bed & Breakfast in Harrogate (Acorn Lodge) and don't get to stay away very often. We were invited to a friends wedding and this was the Hotel they got married in and had their evening reception. What a fantastic place... from the moment we called to make a reservation, we were made to feel... More

This is a superb hotel in Chester. The decorations are original and superb, and the staff are extremely helpful. There are many lounges, a lovely courtyard, beyond which, in the King's Quarters annex, a magnificant gourmet restaurant and coktail bar. The hotel is convenienlty near the station (though no noise is heard), there is parking, and it is only a... More

This was a late booking to break up a journey back from Scotland - and was a real treat. The hotel has bags of character and we ended up in a great room with a fourposter bed. The staff are helpful and friendly - the concierge is a star. Next to the railway station and an easy walk into the... More

I have just returned home after one of the best 4-day stay in a hotel in the UK. The bedroom was excellent and the food marvelous. The hotel is conveniently situated for the city and also rail travel!

We spent one night in the kings quarters on dinner bed and breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable everything you need. Asked for bucket of ice and glasses to be put in room for champagne we brought with us. This was sorted no problem. Had a wonderful meal for dinner in the kings grill. Had a great table watching the chefs... More

We came just for one night on 12th April. Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The concierge Ewen is an absolute star and was very helpful and friendly. Overall I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Breakfast great, staff helpful and the hotel itself is so delightfully quirky. Only thing I would say is don't expect a modern... More

had to cancel a few days beforehand, (colleague taken ill) a few hours after booking online, lost both room fees and breakfast costs, not able to revise booking to later date. Not very happy. I'm sure the hotel is very nice but I never made it and I'm not happy with theCompany's lack of flexibility over the booking policy.
