Stayed at this hotel for one night for a little break in Chester. This hotel is perfect if you are getting Chester by train - it is located just opposite the station so meant we could drop our bags and head straight into town (10-15mins walk or there is a bus for £1). We were in one of the newly... More

We stayed here last week for one night with a deal from Travelzoo. What a great deal, lovely hotel, helpful friendly staff & had great food in the kings quarters. The hotel is a 10 mins walk to the city centre. Would recommend & will be back.

Stayed one night in a room costing £70. Room looked nice at first look but on closer inspection I just don't think it was very clean. There were suspicious looking white stains on the bed throws, make up marks on two of the towels, crumbs on the floor around the bed and the bedding smelled faintly of vomit! The public... More

Found a deal on late rooms for a day we were planing on passing through Chester and the deal was fantastic, luxury suite, champagne on arrival and a three course meal for two. The hotel and building were of a standard I had not experienced before, very posh and grand. The reception area in particular looked spectacular. My one problem... More

The hotel is ideally situated for the town centre and is located opposite the railway station it is a quite imposing building and you are taken back into a Victorian era and that is the theme of the hotel. There is an annexe on the back of the hotel and the rooms are well appointed with a full size bath... More

Hotel is old fashioned but staff were very helpful. Stayed for two nights but had to check out and move from original room to another room for the second night due to billing being split between two accounts. Rooms had a "genteel" feel and belonged to a long gone era. No ironing facility in room but staff promptly provided a... More

i was there for a few days on business. The rooms were modern enough and clean. The fee Internet was good and breakfast was excellent. The bar is a bit pricy but I'm not a drinker so it didn't bother me. I had a bar meal one night , fish and chips, that was very good and a real large... More
