Elegant building, with a lot to offer, we stayed here in a deluxe room. Probably one of the biggest bespoke bed, we've ever stayed in. Food, is really up to the silver service that is expected. Staff are really, pleasant and go out of their way, to fulfil customers need. Only downside is, the £200 'pre authorisation'. It's a lot... More

We popped into the Grosvenor Hotel for a well deserved G&T after shopping. The welcome at the door was not great - two doormen and still they couldn't be bothered. Three drinks came to £22 which is to be expected in a top rated hotel, however service was sluggish to say the least. I have lived in hotels during my... More

One of my favourite restaurants to dine with the family! Beautiful atmosphere and high quality food and drink. Never disappoints! Absolutely love the sorbet for dessert! Highly recommend the Strawberry Daiquiris!

We stayed at The Grosvenor for one night to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, this was the first time we had stayed at this Hotel & thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff can't do enough for you & nothing was too much trouble. We had a Deluxe room which had the biggest bed I've ever slept in, the room was beautifully furnished... More

Excellent plus would not be sufficient accolade to describe the character of this hotel celebrating its 150th birthday in the year 2015 - rooms, staff, food, location, attention to detail and pure unadulterated luxury throughout has been my experience having stayed here a few times these past few years. Chester of course is itself a magical city and hopefully the... More

We were ushered into the restaurant. 7:30pm This restaurant is renowned for its wonderful selection of breads and I was hungry, hadn't eaten for hours. I asked for some bread. I was made to feel like Oliver Twist by the short pompous suited Manager. He explained that the bread tray would be served after we had chosen out meals from... More

All staff very attentive and professional at all times from arriving and having the car parked for us..... to checkout. Very central location but was a little difficult to find due to one way system....found the signs directing... More

We visited this hotel for valentines. It certainly ticked all of the boxes. Perfect greeting at the entrance, beautiful room which was spotless and brimming with luxury. Our stay was delightful. All staff were very friendly. Turned our beds down and delivered ice cold water at bed time. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is celebrating 150 years and hopefully will continue there for another 150! Five star service throughout. Exec Chef Simon Radley has held a Michelin Star for 25 years. What an achievement. His touch and detail are happily not only present in his eponymous restaurant but throughout the the more informal dining from breakfast, lunch, dinner in La Brasserie... More
