We stayed here for one night and we booked really late, after booking the hotel around 7pm we arrived 15 minutes later and was greeted by a female receptionist, she had blonde hair tall and slim but didn't catch her name, she passed us over to a young lad and he was just as unwelcoming! We was sat down for... More

Superb food once again, service was as expected, faultless. This was the third time that we had attended this function which was the Christmas party in the Westminster suite. The whole evening was amazing.

We treated ourselves to the Grosvenor afternoon tea, after a spot of shopping in Chester. Hushed tones and a traditional service where nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea itself is generous and my husband chose the Gentelman's afternoon tea, which was followed by the whiskey trolley, he couldn't have asked for anything more. You can stay as long... Overall, we enjoyed this week long visit. Comfortable room at the front on the 3rd floor. A bit noisy later on, especially on Friday night, but to be expected. Excellent service from the hotel staff. The only gripe was trying to find the car park! Directions given could be improved by saying "follow the signs for "Grosvenor Centre" car park... More

Just spent 5 nights at The Grosvenor, Chester. We had a room at the front which was a bit noisy at night but otherwise it was very enjoyable. Not a cheap stay but excellent value. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.Visited the spa every day and had a back massage, all of which was very relaxing.Ask for a hospitality tray to... More

Let's be clear: the hotel itself is a gorgeous place: definitely five star. But when we stayed for my mother's 70th birthday, the service was exceptionally disappointing from start to finish. We'd booked a set of activities - lunch, spa treatments, dinner, rooms, breakfast. No-one had thought to co-ordinate between the different departments of the hotel - so we wasted... More

This is a hotel I would go back to time and time again. I have a full spa day and stayed over night here around a year ago. The rooms are large and very clean, with very big beds. The hotel bars are stunning, depending on what you are drinking it can be expensive but it was well worth it.... More

We stayed at the chester grosvenor this weekend in Chester, and believe me, so many hotels can learn from their exceptional customer service and the standard of the hotel rooms and quality of food. This hotel has a uniqueness, that other hotels struggle to emulate. We stay in hotels often and have a nice experience, trust me when I say... More

We are big fans of this hotel and have stayed and eaten on many occasions. This visit was solely for afternoon tea with my Mum prior to Christmas. The booking was taken efficiently and I was reminded that at the time of year I was booking the tea would be a 'Christmas Tea' - fine! Tea is served in the... More

My Husband and I went to the Grosvenor for a one night treat, last weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. All the staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise, and the room was delightful. An enormous bed which was very comfortable and a spotlessly... More
