We were ushered into the restaurant. 7:30pm This restaurant is renowned for its wonderful selection of breads and I was hungry, hadn't eaten for hours. I asked for some bread. I was made to feel like Oliver Twist by the short pompous suited Manager. He explained that the bread tray would be served after we had chosen out meals from... More

All staff very attentive and professional at all times from arriving and having the car parked for us..... to checkout. Very central location but was a little difficult to find due to one way system....found the signs directing... More

We visited this hotel for valentines. It certainly ticked all of the boxes. Perfect greeting at the entrance, beautiful room which was spotless and brimming with luxury. Our stay was delightful. All staff were very friendly. Turned our beds down and delivered ice cold water at bed time. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is celebrating 150 years and hopefully will continue there for another 150! Five star service throughout. Exec Chef Simon Radley has held a Michelin Star for 25 years. What an achievement. His touch and detail are happily not only present in his eponymous restaurant but throughout the the more informal dining from breakfast, lunch, dinner in La Brasserie... More

My daughter and I stayed on 17th April 2015. We paid a substantial amount for the room. We were pleased with the stay until we came to settle the bill on check out. Added to the bill was a charge of £9.50. We asked what it was for, we were told it was for the tray of tea and coffee... More

A fantastic and relaxing stay in a stunning city hotel. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay and all staff were friendly and helpful. We ate in the Simon Radley restaurant which I would highly recommend. The eight course tasting menu was simply delicious. The bar in the hotel boasts an enormous choice of gin, which is worth recommending... More

My wife and I re-visited The Chester Grosvenor after a gap of more than 6 years. We were not disappointed! The basics of a great hotel are - comfortable bed, good bed linen, good shower, excellent service, and, where food is offered then good food too. We count cleanliness and services/facilities consistent with star ratings as a given. So on... More

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday over Easter. Nestled in the centre of Chester, its location is perfect. Parking wasnt as bad as I thought. I followed the sat nav for the multi-story carpark which is behind the hotel. Once parked we managed to locate floor 2a which is actually the 2nd floor but there is a lift... More
