We have just returned from a lovely one night break at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel. It is quite simply a stunning Hotel. The food is delicious and of a very high standard. The staff are welcoming friendly and efficient. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere, but if you really want to chill out they have the most beautiful Spa... More

Stayed here for one night recently and whilst the staff are friendly the hotel appears to be stuck in a kind of time warp...it was clearly along time ago, a lovely prestigous hotel and was probably the "grand dame of Chester" but now, 50 years later, it needs a dire shake over to take it to the 21st century. The... More

We stayed over on a race day and really enjoyed the top class experience . We got lucky with an early check in and car park right outside the back door at £8.50 overnight. Everything about our stay was top quality - service, room size, bed, public areas and breakfast were superb . A real treat

I have wanted to stay in this hotel since I was a teenager growing up in North Wales. I finally got to stay at The Grosvenor with my wife for two nights. I booked direct with the hotel who price matched a 3rd party website price. We asked for and were allocated an accessible room as I have mobility problems.... More

First class service from all staff at check in, through bar and room service, continental breakfast in restaurant and check out. Very clean and comfortable 'executive room' but, booked at very short notice due to change of travel plans, I am left thinking the room was really just a normal double en suite - admittedly with a super bed -... We arrived to find an extremely helpful young man called Mark. My partner has broken her foot and has to use crutches. He looked after us from the moment we arrived with a parking place for the car; he ensured that our luggage was taken to our room and even provided us with a cup of tea whilst we were... More

I got a deal with Secret Escapes for one night including continental breakfast for £129.00 staying in a deluxe room. I stayed with my son. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside the hotel to the minute we left. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was amazing!!!!!!!!! The bed was big enough... More

Stayed at the Grosvenor with my wife for my birthday.

 Good points:

 > Concierge parking - very courteous and friendly.
> Room size was fine.
> Quick check-in.
> Bags were taken to the room - nice.
> Very, very comfortable bed

. Not so good points:

 > Room had not been cleaned well - a layer of dust was visible... More
