We have now stayed twice and each time have found the staff to be really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, from a jug of fresh milk for our room as we prefer fresh to portion tubs to the fact they did a Hickory chicken dish for my husband without the cheese. Our only down point was... more

Hotel is really convenient for Chester Hospital and the north side of Chester, plus not far from the town centre. It's not the lap of luxury but for the price it's good value. I found the bed to be comfortable and the room extremely quiet at night so I got a good night's sleep. The room was small and a... more

Working for IBM (which many believe stands for I've Been Moved) I tend to spend a lot of my life in hotels. But this hotel was a real gem. The staff were ultra friendly anf helpful, the rooms were spotless, the food was great and (according to my partner) the decor/design was great (being a man I wouldn't know). All... more

I stayed here for one night whilst on a course at Chester Uni which is only a couple of minutes walk away. Room was clean but small and dated, although the bathroom must have been refurbished recently as it was very modern, clean and had a decent shower. There was a small TV and tea making facilities too. Unfortunately I... more

Expecting to find a standard B&B type hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the Brookside hotel. The staff are what really make the place great; they are friendly and will go above and beyond to offer you assistance. With such a warm welcome, it was hard to see fault with our stay. The hotel itself could do with a little... more

We were a Group of 8 on a golfing holiday based in Chester. We had a very pleasant stay in a reasonably priced Hotel with excellent facilities, not too far from the city centre. Taxi £3- to £3.50 if required (booked by Hotel staff). Food choice and quality first class. The staff made us very welcome and were extremely helpful.... more

We have just returned from a weekend at the Brookside. Our twin room was very dated. The bath panel was coming away from the bath, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the wardrobe was not deep enough to accommodate a coat hanger,. The door to the so called wardrobe, was a plastic concertina door. The Hotel was short staffed, in... more

Were welcomed by friendly receptionist, who took our luggage up to our room (a rare gesture these days. . .). Room was fine, clean and pleasant - and reasonably priced. Bed was OK though could have been bigger and more comfy. Traffic noise in the morning noticeable (might be a good idea to ask for a room away from Brook... more
