Booked very last minute and was easily accomodated and staff very friendly. Room was lovely with 4 poster bed, and bed was very comfy. Room was clean and had everything you would expect. Good location and only a short walk into the city centre. Breakfast ok. Would recommend and would stay there again. More

Hotel advertised as family run ? Not much evidence of family. Rooms on the small side and could do with a deep clean. Breakfast was attest average. To be honest would notnstaynhere again. Over priced. More

Stayed here 14/15 Nov. Friendly and clean this hotel was a bit old/fashioned but in a charming way. Great value for money we found the room and bed comfortable and got a good nights sleep. The breakfasts were big servings and toast was plentiful. Location is only around a ten/fifteen minute walk to town no need for taxis. Enjoyed our... More

My boyfriend took me for my 21st birthday present to the Brookside Hotel and it was fantastic. We stayed in a small double room, and it was so cosy. The room was very very clean, had champagne on ice when we arrived! (that was an extra obviously) It's close to the city and the staff couldn't have been any nicer.... More

We spent two nights in Chester and were welcomed warmly at Brookside. The room was quiet and we had a very good sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and kept us going for a large part of the day. We would come back here, when visiting Chester again. More

I had booked for my one nights stay in Chester and so when I found that the conveniently located Premier Inn was full I was directed to Brookside. A very warm welcome on arrival and a very nice room. I ate in their restaurant and the food was simple and good, with friendly service. My room had a newly fitted... More

Arrived to a friendly welcome, and shown to the room down some narrow stairs. We must have got the family room as it was a little cramped with so many beds. It was clean but could do with a lick of paint and the carpet was worn. The shower was a little dishevelled, and the bathroom needs a paint and... More

Stayed here for the first time in over 20 years. I was just requiring a nice, quiet, clean and friendly place to spend an evening - this is exactly what it was. Represents excellent value for money and is a great alternative to the souless motorway and city centres Travelodge type places. Lovely breakfast all include in a great value... More
