Very convenient for Chester town centre, 15-20min walk. Stayed 2 nights, made to feel very welcome. Had 3 rooms in party which varied from very compact double, ideal for single occupant through medium sized room which was adequate for 2 and good sized double with 3 chairs, bay window, nice and airy- ensuites comparable to room size, prices the same... What a lovely gem of a place this is. Most of the staff are quite young and I must say extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were great. We ate there all three evenings and had some wonderful food, well presented and always nice and hot which is always a bonus. We had one of the 4 poster bed rooms which... More

We booked an over night stay a couple of weeks ago and were disappointed to be given a basement room which was very small, dark and had a dreadful smell of dampness. I did want to complain however as we were only staying for one night my partner said not to bother. On the positive side the staff were pleasant... More

Stayed here because my daughter's University accommodation fell through and she could not move into her flat until 14th October, so joined her to show support. The Proprietor and staff went out of their way to be helpful. I had to return home but felt I had left our daughter in safe hands. The rooms are lovingly decorated and clean... More

I stayed here along with old friends from the early 70s reuniting in the Chester area. We chose this hotel because of its reasonable price, its proximity to Chester town centre, free onsite parking and generally positive Trip Advisor reviews. LOCATION Avoid the sky-high prices of staying in central Chester and stay here instead for half the price. Only 15-20... More

Stayed here twice now, both visits were good. Decent price and really was a good hotel. Great location, only a 10 minute walk from the centre and the breakfast in pretty good.# Would definitely stay again.

We found the public rooms to be homey and charming, with a nice secluded patio outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the wifi adequate. Yes, there are overmany doors on the stairs and narrow hallways, but that comes with the whole Listed Building thing and adds to the experience. It is in a residential district, so the... More

We were given a family room on the night we stayed as the hotel was full. We were only charged the normal double room rate which was good of them. The hotel is ideally situated a brisk, very brisk, 10 minute walk fom the city centre. It has limited on site parking but a really good, CCTV guarded overspill car... More
