I booked two rooms back in May for our annual trip to Chester races, I was told we would be in rooms 1 and our friends room 2 as they were the better rooms because we were booking so early! When we arrived a rude girl on reception booked us in abruptly took payment and gave us our key and... More

When reading this review please bear in mind that I paid about £40 per night for this hotel, including breakfast, so perhaps I should have known what to expect. The best thing about this hotel is the location, which is very close to the station and pretty close to the town centre too. I was using it as a base... More

I booked in for two nights, the owner was so aggressive and disrespectful, I cut my losses (£80) I left without staying for one. If any standard of customer service is important to you, don't stay here.

I stayed at the Eaton for 1 night, upon entering the hotel was greeted with a sign saying "renovations in progress take care". Checked in and given keys and a remote control. My room was on the second floor accessed by lift, narrow corridors with automatic lighting which goes out when looking for which key to use.The room had cobwebs... More

My 77 year old Nanna had been taken away for a birthday treat. Were shown to our room, the ceiling and walls had damp on them, which had made contact with the bedding, which was wet when we touched it, so was the floor. We spoke to front desk, who moved our room. We thought that this would be the... More

When I arrived the lady on reception was pleasant. Checked in easily. Only when I got to the bedroom door and had to wrestle with the lock did alarm bells start to ring. On entering the room the overwhelming smell of bleach hit me. Elastic bands held the shower together. There was no hot water in the tap from start... More

I don't like writing bad reviews but this hotel needs one. We stay in lots of £70.00 B and B establishments and this place compares badly. "Hotel" is a vague concept. To me, The Eaton is a bar with rooms above it. Don't expect anything like a lounge. And don't be misled by the shiny, attractive photos on booking.com. It's... More
