The hotel is clean and what would be expected of a 2* establishment. Service at breakfast was a little disorganised and the coffee machine never seemed to be working. The food was satisfactory but very meagre portions. The aspect of our stay which was most annoying was that the canalside bar and restaurant was closed and had been for months,... More

I booked this hotel for my annual Chester races outing on 28th June 2014. We payed £200 a night for this dirty threadbare hotel. When booking over the phone I asked for my room to be ready for when we arrived at 10am.I was assured that it would be ready. This is why I booked this room. On arrival we waited... More

I booked this hotel on line with ease of access to station and close enough to the centre. I hit that one a bull's eye. Great location, and we had a view of the canal, complete with baby ducks. And boats, although I don't know the politically correct form of address. Narrow boats/barges/house boats/craft/things that float on water. Pretty anyway.... More

Ideal location but the hotel definitely needs updating and a good clean would not go amiss!!!! Shower not working, toilet not flushing well. Beds need updating. Breakfast undercooked and cold. Good job it was only one night. Just a room to put your head down. Would not return.

We stayed here on Saturday the 26th april, the hotel is situated 5 mins from train station and 5 mins from bars and pubs. The Centre is around 10 mins walk. Hotel is tired and needs updating but for the price we paid it served its purpose. Beds and room were comfortable and breakfast was ok. We would not return but... More

I moved in here after ditching the Queens hotel. This place was 1/3 of the price and had everything that the other hotel had and more, a very welcoming staff a loverly view over the canal, prop sat tv and dvd player, and buckets of ice for my diet coke. Although i'm not a breakfast person i did have some... More

I booked 3 rooms at the Eaton Hotel for a stag weekend. This is the perfect location for the railway station & only a ten minute walk into the city centre. It was perfect for our needs, the young lady on reception was very helpful & because we arrived early stored our bags until after the 2pm check in time,... More

I stayed here on and off for 10 weeks...working at a local site. The first experience was pleasant, my room was lovely and modern but above the kitchen (chef can't sing) and music boomed til 11 pm sometimes, not a great problem but still a negative. My second encounter 3 days after checking out was different, a lovely quiet room... More
