Great location and good breakfast and I am afraid that is all the plus points, this is not a hotel it is a B&B with a small bar. It's is run by a skeleton staff who were very pleasant but there are too many negatives here. All the lighting is controlled by motion activated switches and they don't stay on... More

Looked for somewhere to accommodate me and three friends for a night out in Chester and we booked the Eaton last minute. In terms of location and price it was great, we had a family room which was £130, and it was only a 10minute drunken stumble from all the bars. Have to say it was fairly outdated inside, rooms... I stayed here for a weekend at Chester races. When booking I required a clean room in a great location.. Which is exactly what I got. Firstly, the location is perfect. The hotel is right in the thick of it with everything in walking distance. The room itself was very good. Although I discovered a few things to be loose... More

The hotel is a convenient location would booked at the last minute and there wasn't a lot of choice. You have accept that many of the rooms are on the main road and are a little noisy, we stayed on a Friday night and it was a little loud. The rooms really do need money spending on them, my first... I am not one to write bad reviews however I was not able to have the opportunity to discuss our terrible experience with the management directly. When making the initial booking I was asked to provide credit card details in order to reserve the room and these details would be used in the if we did not turn up. Having... More

This Hotel is not a hotel in that it more a B&B. I do not see how they class it as a hotel. There are no reception staff. The Eaton is close to the Train Station and the City centre. As Chester is a small town-most hotel are close to the Centre. My room was clean although I found my... More

I have stayed in Chester before but not at this hotel, stayed here this time as it was close to the railway station and price, it is a real example of you get what you pay for in Chester. Room was basic, could not call it the cleanest, housekeeping never entered the room instead leaving fresh towels outside, but only... More

We booked for 1 night on a spur-of the-moment trip for the bank holiday. It's not the most salubrious place to stay but the bed was ok and the breakfast was good. Rooms 6 & 8 are very dated and could do with a good clean and brightening up. We got what we paid for.
