Not made to feel very welcome when arrived. You supposedly book over the internet and enter all your payment details. Don't be fooled. You get there and then they require your card to pay. Which I suppose is OK if you bring a credit card with you! Shame they don't tell you this. The rooms are very basic, very small... more
Stayed at this hotel for one night in July 2008. The young lad on reception gave us a very cool reception on arrival and must have grunted a total of four words throughout our entire checking in procedure. The room was ok, apart from the thin walls and un-soundproofed connecting door to the adjacent room which resulted in us being... more
Generally hotel OK and better than anticipated given previous reviews. Liked biscuits in room and convenient location for city. Also free parking. Generally clean and comfortable. Didn't like thin walls. Bit souless. more
My husband and I were travelling from Spain to Chester for 8 days. We booked a room at Comfort Inn. My wife and I stopped at the Comfort Inn during February 2007. Reception staff were prompt, courteous and efficient during check in procedure and we were directed to our room within 5 minutes of arrival. Personally, we were not seeking luxurious rooms with an abundance of facilities, just a base from where we could stoll in to the town centre... more
We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn, Chester and while the location is handy for the motorway and the grounds are very nice the hotel is not the best. It is too far to walk into the centre of Chester we had to get a cab. We were in the coach house which is seperate from the main building, the... more
Myself and Partner stayed at the Comfort Inn in February for our Birthdays. The room we were allocated was on the ground floor, right next to the reception which proved to be extremely noisy. We could hear the phone ringing all the time. It did stop though around 10pm, I presume this is because reception is then closed. We kept... more
