We booked here looking for a central hotel to stay in while we attended a wedding near by. Really wish I had thought to book somewhere earlier as we were not left with a lot of choice 😔. I would like to say that the lady I dealt with when we arrived was wonderful, really polite and helpful, and she... More

Expected bed and full English - the breakfast was toast and cereals, bed smelt as if someone else had slept in it, daren't use the towels on my face, very stained with who knows what, toilet brush was disgusting, dust and dirt under the beds. Complimentary toiletries were half used bottles, possibly that other guests had left??. On the plus... More

Room with a four poster, perfectly adequate, bathroom ok too but couldn't get hot water from the shower. Downstairs bar and dining area fine, beer garden .... Needs some tlc. Perfect for a base while visiting Chester.

We stayed for 1 night, and I can honestly say it is the worst place we have ever stayed in! Filthy, mouldy bathroom, windows that didn't open, dirt and dust everywhere, couldn't get out quick enough in the morning. still having nightmares about this place!

Staff very friendly.Breakfast is continental style and the lady waiting on is so friendly; as was the rest of the staff. My room was clean and very basic.I had the use of a shared bathroom. accommodation itself was fine, although a little dated, the sign on entering said check in and chill out, unfortunately they forgot to mention the disco they had booked for that night. I have never in my 48 years on this planet heard such a volume of noise created by this dj . the vibrations alone must have cause tsunamis on... More

I stayed here on the way home from a camping holiday in Anglesey. I love Chester and was pleased to find that this hotel was a 2 min walk from the centre shops, pubs and eating places. From a single female view Chester is safe to walk around and the area the pub in fine too. On arrival it was... More

We stayed for one night and were shocked on entering room. My husband pulled backed duvet to reveal the previous guests hairs in bed, stains, crumbs. So not clean sheets disgusting. Crumbs all over floor, previous guests receipts on unit, bit rubbish in bin, old water drinking bottle thrown and left at side of bed. We went straight out! Didn't... More

I booked through booking.com and when we arrived they had no recollection of our booking, however they luckily had 2 rooms available. The gentleman who showed us round was polite however they did not have any central heating. Our room had a fan heater but it was too noisy to have on whilst we were sleeping and the window's were...
