I brought mum to Chester and booked the abode following a recommendation from a friend... It was fab, a modern yet warm and friendly hotel with fantastic views. The bar and Grill serves excellent food

The room was amazing and the bed very comfortable, the view was out to another building. Can't complain the hotel was full being a bank holiday. Chester is an amazing place to visit, lots to do here. Restaurant and bar very good! However the Reception staff at check out the morning off departure were incompetent and need training. I'd prepaid... More

Stayed here 29/8 the hotel was lovely and a great location. Staff were v friendly . Downside to our stay was an email to say the restaurant was closed day before we travelled due to a wedding and the inconsiderate guests that continued banging doors until the early morning.

This was my fifth visit to The Abode this summer and like the other times the check-in was professional and friendly, the rooms are modern and extremely clean with superbly comfortable beds which always provide me with a good nights sleep. The location of the hotel within easy walking distance of the town centre is just another plus for this hotel.

The hotel is in a very modern building about 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city. My room overlooked the racecourse. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms up to the minute (though mine had a shower only, no bath). Very friendly and helpful staff, and good food and coctails in the restaurant.

Really nice room over looking the race course very nicely decorated with a massive bed and large bathroom with walk in shower.Never used the Michael Caines resturant as it was not open to hotel guests due to functions all weekend. A nice stay but £10 a day hotel parking is a bit much.

A lovely hotel. It is our favourite in Chester as we love sitting on a balcony looking over to the Welsh hills. The staff are helpful and polite. The team in the Cafe Bar and Brasserie were very helpful. This time we had a second floor room without a balcony but large floor to ceiling windows. Good welcome tray refreshments.... More

We went to the Grosvenor Park Shakespeare play in the park and stayed at the Abode where we had a fantastic matched wine lunch with friends. Our room was very modern and was very comfortable for our overnight stay and the breakfast was really good (as usual) We have stayed here before as well as other hotels in Chester but... More

Very nice modern hotel overlooking the racecourse and less than 5 minutes walk from town centre. Stayed in a basic double which was OK but a few extra touches would have been nice such as a better range of toiletries. Breakfast was delicious with great views over the racecourse and the Welsh hills from the restaurant.
