Just returned from a 3 day stay with my Wife in Room 1 the largest with a full size bathroom and corner bath. Apparently the best room which we don't doubt. As other reviews say, Chris the host is an absolute gentleman and carries your luggage upstairs. Bit embarrassing that one as I have 20 years on him! Beware of... More

This is a great little B&B and I seriously do not think you can do better in terms of price and location in Chester. I stayed for one-night and everything was first class from check-in to check-out: the room and bathroom were spotless and the breakfast was scrumptious. The hosts were also very friendly. Do not look any further if... More

We spent two nights at this great location last weekend. Just three, well appointed, rooms with comfortable beds. Chris made our stay most welcome...he was very friendly with lots of local knowledge and cooked the best full-monty ever! A short walk to the pedestrian bridge over the river to the bandstand area with it's live music at the weekend...a great place... More

Recently stayed for four nights at The Sycamore with my partner...a well needed break for both of us! Couldn't recommend this gem of a B & B more highly. Lovely and comfortable room (we stayed in room 2), great bathroom - with a proper bath not just a shower! Chris was a great host, very charming and friendly and the... More

Our family of five stayed in the Sycamore house B&B for one night, taking all three rooms. The proprietor, Chris, and his wife Helen are the nicest people. The rooms are fabulous, I'd say any five star hotel would be proud to have rooms like these. Chris was so helpful with planing the onwards trip, and letting me use his... More

You couldn't beat the location of this B & B a very short walk and you arrive at the footbridge which takes you along the picturesque river bank which has lots of cafes, public loo, dog water & bandstand. Look on the bridge for the little commemorative padlocks. Continue walking for the sights & shops of Chester or walk to... More

My Wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on a recent trip around the UK. I have to say Chris was a charming hosts and could not do enough for us. The room was spacious and well presented with a huge ensuite. Breakfast was superb with more than enough to pick from the menu. We could have spent hours... More

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Made to feel very welcome. It's situated about 5-10min walk away from the city so perfect location. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, the best nights sleep we have had staying away from home. The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Would highly recommend to anyone!

My wife and I stayed the weekend for one night for our wedding Anniversary. Cannot fault anything, lovely people, located in a very quiet area about a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Very clean, room was spacious, bed very comfy best nights sleep I've ever had in a B&B. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. Well worth the stay!
